I have to take my long antenna off to park in my garage, so I only tend to install it when I'm going on trail rides or off for an adventure. I use this cap at all other times I use this cap, and it has protected the NMO mount through rain, snow and sun with no signs of leakage or wearing.

Do you have a tall tr-band antenna on your trunk lid that doesn’t fit in the garage. When you take it off and put it in the trunk you must protect that NMO connector from the elements. This is the device to do it.

Not a lot to say on such a simple item except that it is a cap with an O ring and so far is working exactly as intended on my vehicle mounted NMO antenna connection when I have the antenna removed. I would not hesitate to buy another one if I lost this one.

It spins on to my NMO mount nicely, and the rubber seal sits in a recessed channel and is uniform so I shouldn’t need to worry about losing it or having it stick out from under. There’s also a protrusion in the center that drops down and protects the center contact on the mount. I was a little disappointed that it’s made of plastic but the tram is the same. Only reason I got it is because of Prime day, but now that I see it, I would get it again.
