About Installation
NOTE: It’ll take you some time for installation and need some professional skills. Following are two installation methods for reference.
- Removed remnants of old ornament, left antenna in place, slid new ornament over the antenna and put bottom and forward edge in place, sprayed silicon lubricant on the metal, slid the 3/8 socket over the antenna, applied downward pressure gripping the socket, used a taped flat-blade screwdriver to work the top and rear edges of the new ornament into place.
- Remove/unscrew the antenna, open the fender liner and reach into fender to get at and unbolt the antenna (one bolt)… Once unbolted, you can lower the antenna within the fender and install the bezel... reinstall everything in reverse. In this way, the bezel is installed from below.

I probably waited too long to get the old one out. Crumbled in pieces as I pulled it out. This new one was extremely difficult to get back in the hole. As a matter of fact, part of it still is not secured completely.

Super tight fit. I had to use some water based personal lubricant to get it to slip in, but it eventually popped inside the hole it was intended to go in. That’s always nice. ðŸ˜

The old rubber had cracked in half. This was a direct replacement. A little fiddly to have it seat well, took a little muscle.
