I actually needed the 2†tape, but the 4†tape was on the Lightning Deal Sale for the same price so I got the wider one. It turned out to be the right choice! I need the strips for my hardwood stairs in the house.I cut the strips to length and then fold each in half, creating a crease before cutting it into 2†strips. I only had a little bit leftover when I was done. (If I had gotten the 2†tape, I would be short of strips!) The tape was not exactly 15’ as other reviewers have noted. My tape was one inch short of 15’, which was not bad. This tape was easy to cut and easy to adhere. Just be sure to clean the surface area before applying. Great product!

Perfect length for doing the stairs to the loft in the garage. The 60 foot roll meant no waste, as opposed to buying two 35 foot rolls. 4" width seems adequate. Sticks well w the particle board steps. Just a basic clean for prep worked. Nice and safe now.

Works great. Used to keep dogs from slipping when jumping into truck. Weathers very well too.Update to my original review:Product works great on the truck, but also put it on an outdoor ramp exposed to the weather and lots of activity. Ramp is wood. Wood was new when applied. As of two weeks ago, Atlanta received a very hard freeze. the adhesive decided it did not like to stick to the wood and all the strips came off. Appears that exposure to the extreme cold and daily elements can cause the adhesive to become inadequate. The product itself is definitely anti slip and works well, just an adherence issue to the treated wood. I would recommend tacking it down if you wish for it to stay in place in extreme conditions, even if conditions are not normal.

Seems to be a very good product, I gave it a 4 & not a 5 because one of the rolls that I bought must have been the end of a batch and came up about 18 inches short of 15 feet & that last 18 inches was a separate piece taped to the rest of the roll, I did not want a seam in the middle of a step so I had to cut other steps a little shorter so I could have a complete piece on the final step, works ok, but now all the steps are not same size. seems a little unprofessional to me. but like I said before so far it seems to be a good product.

This XFasten Anti Slip Tape is exactly what I needed for the ramp in my shed. Recently, I went to get the lawnmower out and the ramp was so slippery I twisted my ankle. Luckily it was just a minor sprain but it could have been much worse. Then the following week my husband slipped on the ramp and almost fell. That is when I decided we had to do something before someone really got hurt on that thing. I was thinking about how I could add traction to prevent future slipping and that is when I saw this tape. The tape is 4 inches wide and 15 feet long. It has a PVC base layer injected with 80 grit aluminum oxide compound to provide extra traction where slippery surface conditions occur. It is good for indoor or outdoor use and the grit on the tape can withstand heavy traffic. The Safety Tape was easy to cut into strips with just regular scissors and has an adhesive backing and with easy to remove paper backing. This tape was easy to install, and not supposedly.does not leave any residue should you want to relocate or remove it.I received this at a discount for my unbiased review.

This tape works great when it stays down. It is easy to apply and has a good non-slip finish. I recently added strips to my deck steps since the footing can be slippery after a lot of rain. It also helps with visibility when using the steps, especially the one directly out the back door since sometimes visitors aren't expecting a step there. Some of the strips have stayed in place well, but others have lifted at the corners or front edge. While we cleaned and dried the surfaces before putting the tape down, this is, after all, a non-pristine deck with plenty of spots where little dog claws have worn away the painted finish and the wood is not in perfect shape. Still I expect it to offer good adherence since it's supposed to be good for outside use. I've now stepped down the spots that had lifted and hopefully the tape will stay down reliably. If not, I'll update the review.Updated 9/28/17: didn't stay down well outside. We've had little rain here and the temperature has been moderate most of the time, so I can't say it was because of bad weather. It just doesn't adhere to some outside surfaces very well. When I used my gas powered blower to blow leaves off the deck steps, the tape of a couple of the steps actually blew off. I can see some paint chips on the back so it appeared some parts wanted to adhere, but I guess the outside wooden surface just isn't the ideal application.

I have an 18 years old cat who has some arthritis in his rear legs. To make life more comfortable to him, I have special steps in various places that he likes to go. I have a dense foam wedge (part of a larger toddler play mat, but I bought it for my cats) that I moved up to a spot my cat wants to get at. I was concerned that the material could be too smooth for my geriatric kitty. I was thinking about how to make this wedge work when it occurred to me to purchase grip tape.I wasn't sure how wide I would want it, so I went with 2" wide tape figuring I could cut it in half. The first run at bottom of wedge is the regular width. The strips above were cut in half. They stick really well!It works for our needs! My boy has been using the wedge to get to a spot on the cat climber, as pictured. This tape--such a simple thing-- has helped my kitty so much. The strips provide grip for his frail gait. Makes me happy and relieved. Now I'll look around the house to see where else this tape may help.So far so good for my needs. Thank you!
