Believe it or not, I bought this tape for some short step stools I had to my bed and couch so that my elderly cat (18 years) would not slip on the wooden stairs. This non-skid tape was perfect and did the trick. Since the tape was frosted in color, the tape did not look too ugly when added to the step stools. And my cat can now get the grip he needs to not slide off the stairs. I think this material would work well on any surface where you need to keep people from sliding or falling.Update: It is now a year later and the non-skid tape still sticks perfectly. Looks like I just put it on yesterday. Really adheres well and stands the test of time in a dry, indoor location.Update: I have a plastic chair mat on my rug that I use under my desk computer chair. I didn't want to get a studded chair mat because it would damage my rug. The only problem was that the plastic chair mat constantly shifted and slid around on top of the rug. Drove me crazy. I decided to buy some more of this non-slip tape and put some pieces on the underside of the mat to see if it would stop the sliding around. It works pretty well! Not perfect - there's still some slipping on the rug - but a great improvement in my eyes! I could probably use more tape on the underside of the plastic mat to try to get it to slide less, but the frosted pieces of the tape do show up a little through the transparent mat, so I'm reluctant to put too much tape on it and have it look ugly. I'm pleased with the happy medium I've achieved with having less slipping of the mat on the rug. Once again, this non-slip tape has come to the rescue. Good stuff!

I was sent the wrong item! Open it up to use and found out it was smooth white tape, not the rubberized safety tape as advertised. Very disappointed.

I used this on a childs bunk bed ladder. It was great until my 2yo son got into the room. I loved the soft but grippy tape and it was nearly clear but my 2yo had it all off in 20 minutes flat! I had such high hopes for this product.

This tape does the job - I used it to make my wooden stairs a little safer. Unfortunately it is way too expensive. Each tread needs over two feet. That means I would have to spend almost $50 on this tape to do the whole stairway.I found that this tape applied easily and is fairly unnoticeable.

Put it on the steps of the bunk beds and so far it looks like it's working quite well and keeping kids from slipping.

My 7 pound dog was becoming afraid to go up our stairs. He had fallen down the stairs once as a puppy and he couldn't get a good grip to go up. I didn't want to cover the stairs in carpet. Our house is almost 100 years old and I like the wood stairs but I was very worried about my dog. Also, finding nice covering for the stairs is expensive. I am a designer and fussy and on a budget. I read th reviews and bought this "grippy" tape. I cut straight measured pieces about 7" long and put them on the side of the stairs near the wall where he runs up the stairs. It took a few days but now I can see that he feels much more confident when he come upstairs. It's a big help for me too as I often have my hands full when I come up at night and I don't want him to get into the habit of always being carried. The tape has a slightly milky translucency and it's not too bad to look at, especially if you cut it with a straight edge. I'm very happy to see my dog being more comfortable. Highly recommended!

bad, just bad. Would not stick. Even added glue and then it stuck but even then the edges came up. Used on wooden ramp.

My thirteen year old 80 pound dog has started to have trouble jumping into the truck. After checking wind direction etc.,she still managed to get up and in. building steps was next chapter until I noticed her back feet slipping on painted portion of rocker panel(sore hips). Tape placed on interior two sections of steps have turned her into a new dog.The tape while visable when door is opened is perfect traction and small price to pay cosmetically to see her regain her confidence and ability. nice product;far better than black sandpaper type.you can't leave the house without your best friend.
