Installed 4ft strips of this skid tape on the edges of concrete stairs leading up to a deck and it worked a treat! The steps were basically smooth as ice previously and I always worried about elderly parents potentially slipping on them and these make a massive difference.Installation is super simple (just peel and stick) though I did make sure to scrub the concrete beforehand to ensure the adhesive had a good base to stick to and the final product looks very clean. Do note: the 15' roll goes surprisingly quickly when doing multiple steps so definitely measure how much you need first!

This is a review of “ Buyers Products AST215 Anti-Skid Tape, 2" x 15' rollâ€.I selected this tape to make a spiral staircase a little more safe to walk on - the stairs in question were painted black and could be slippery to walk on. Enter this tape - it’s quite gritty/grippy on the traction side and has remained stuck quite well to the painted staircase I used the tape on. So far, no slips and no problems.I can’t speak to using this in an outdoor environment because the stairs I’m using the tape on are protected from the outside, but this is working great in my application. Recommended.

This tape is a great idea. It just misses the mark on execution. The rough side is great for traction, especially when put at the edge of the step where you are most likely to slip.Unfortunately, it did not do well for staying in place on our granite steps which are open to the elements which negates the main appeal of being able to just roll it out and smooth it down, rather than having to use something like an epoxy glue to put something seriously permanent on the step.

This is a very great idea! Everyone should have these, especially outside or in the garage. This has helped a lot with slips on the garage stairs, easy to apply!

This tape is easy to peel, cut, and stick. What's nice is that you can choose how long you want your strip to be. We have outdoor steps that get real slick when wet, and I was able to put down strips of this stuff to provide some traction on each board. Super easy to use and so far, it's sticking pretty well.

We are putting this on our wheelchair ramp it is weatherproof mostly making it easier to see the ramp at night and giving people and wheels more grip when it is wet, I also use this on my foot plate on my wheelchair to help keep my feet from sliding. This isn't the most durable tape but you get plenty of it and it's cost-effective.

I got this grip tape to use on my outdoor deck. It’s covered but when it rains really hard or there’s wind it blows up on the deck. For some reason the floor gets incredibly slippery when wet and with summer around the corner I needed something to put down to prevent my toddler from slipping. He loves playing in water and is always running or hopping so it was just a matter of time. This stuff is very easy to apply since it’s just like putting tape on your floor except with texture. It looks and feels similar to asphalt or sandpaper and has an adhesive bottom similar to rug tape. I put this on the steps and parts of my deck not covered by the area rug, focusing on the places that get the slickest. It looked decent and didn’t ugly up my patio too bad. I was concerned do to the rough gritty texture and the fact were often barefoot when on the deck, but surprisingly it wasn’t that noticeable. After applying it appeared secure but the following day the strip closest to the steps had lifted halfway off. I believe this was my fault, I may not have cleaned that spot well enough before applying. We did that strip over again after thoroughly cleaning and so far it’s sticking. If it continues to lift I will come back and update this review. Overall I am happy with the results and find this an inexpensive practical way to add friction to your floor.
