LifeGrip General Anti-Slip Tapes are made of PET material as base film. PET has the following beneficial features compared with PVC:

APPLICATION INSTRUCTION: (Quick and Easy)
1. CLEAN THE SURFACE
Clean surface with wet cloth thoroughly. Allow the surface to dry completely. Ensure the surface is completely free from dust and grease.
2. MEASURE AND CUT*
Cut the tape to the desired length and round the corners with scissors.(To ensure the anti slip tape has the best bonding to the surface, do not apply the anti-slip tape cross the gaps between tiles.)
* Pre-cut anti-slip treads can skip this step.
3. PEEL AND STICK
Lay the anti-slip strip to the desire location. Lift one end of the strip and peel back the first 2 inches of the backing. Press the tape down as you go. Continue until you have applied the entire strip to the surface. (For stairs, position the tape 1/2 inch from the edge of the stair.)
4. PRESS FIRMLY
Roll over the tape with the application roller. Begin in the center of the strip and roll to one end, then return to the center and roll to the other end.

The width is exactly 2†and the finish includes a sparkle integrated within the black tape which adds a nice touch. It may help it stand out day or night. Definitely high quality floor tape.

I suspect it will work for it's intended uses. I used it as pistol griptape, did come loose after a day at the range. I will try applying it again with heat.

Would buy again. I wanted to put a coarse layer of sandpaper on a moose bar so I could walk up it. I cleaned the bar by grinding it first and then cleaned it with acetone. Then put this on there. I don’t think I could get it back off of the bar. I can walk up that bar on a 6000lb antique safe like it’s nothing. Worked great.

We have untreated wood steps with many cracks. Sanded the steps with 40, 60 and then 120 grit sandpaper. There were still cracks, but overall the surface was smooth. Steps were a little over 6 feet wide. Two of us did the installation with one person holding down the far end, while the other person progressed across the 6 feet. Only small difficulty was getting started in peeling off the backing. We found that a pair of small pointy tweezers did the job.Only installed yesterday, so can't speak to durability. But it looks like it adhered quite well.

I had bought grip tape in the past for outdoor surfaces and have not had any luck with them lasting more than a few days. But this one is still going strong after 3 months.
