I like that this filter is small, lightweight, and quiet. It hits the sweet spot of "just big enough" and "just powerful enough" in my book. For those concerned about the fan power, I can assure you that it does not take much suction at all to pull in soldering fumes, and personally I do not like working with a small hurricane on my desk.In the picture, I am soldering a toggle switch using a large flat iron tip. Anyone who has ever done this knows this generates a lot of smoke, and you can see that it is all going into my filter from a distance of about 5 inches. Just solder in front of the filter and you won't breath fumes again.Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase and I highly recommend this product.

This is a great fume extractor for the price. It sucks most of the soldering fumes and is massive. 10/10 would buy again.

No issues setting it up, easy to use, i do move it while soldering a larger piece so that it is near where I am actively soldering. I make stained glass items and feel relieved to have something pulling and filtering the smoke. I used to just use a fan to blow it away and soldered outdoors only. Now I am more comfortable doing it indoors as well, but will crack a window open.

They ripped off the Hakko design but at the same time $80 for the exact Hakko name brand is the real rip off. Is basically a plastic frame holding a PC fan.

This only sucks up fumes if it’s positioned within an inch of whatever you’re soldering, and then only barely! Useless, will try to return

It comes with 3 filters and you can see the amount of crap it's filtered already.You need to be quite close for it to work but I have noticed that the extraction has increased as it's started to block the filter so a bit like fitting a tube to the front to increase the extraction rate.
