When the screws on these are tightened all the way down the captive washer plate does not contact the base plate, so there is a gap. This prevents you from using a bare tiny ware in these terminal strips without using a crimped on wire terminal. I wanted to put telephone style cables terminated in these and the clamp would not close enough to hold the wire. Otherwise I guess they would be OK. I got my order with 2 pieces missing, and a third one broken, so I am returning the whole lot.
