Daughter wanted this magnetic for painting fingernails. The paint she uses has metal flakes which, when exposed to the magnetic field, align nicely and perfect coverage. It is sized just right for use with fingers.

Might be too small for some toes but it’s wide enough to fit a variety of different finger sizes and gave me great results for that velvet finish on magnetic polish that everyone wants. Be warned it’s strong and ships with a steel plate that you will want to keep on it when not it use. The plate is very hard to remove at first but is much easier after the first time.

Purchased for use with magnetic nail polish. It’s much more convenient than assembling multiple magnets and risking that they will disassemble mid-way into use and damage your manicure. There were a lot of warnings about not using this magnet by electronics and it was hard to remove the metal plate for first use, bit I got comfortable with this quickly and then it’s easy to work with!

I bought this for the velvet effect of magnetic nail polish and it works great since it's a bigger size and my nails fit with plenty of room, even the thumb. Probably could have went with a smaller one though since this one is super strong and I read that it should not be used around electronics.

Highly recommend for velvet effect with magnetic nail polish. Slide the metal plate off, don’t pull it. Put it back after use to protect. The magnet is very strong, be careful with electronics near it and with metal objects pinching your finger against magnet.

I resisted buying this because it’s such a pricey little item for such a niche use, but after seeing people use them to get amazing velvet effect with magnetic polish I couldn’t resist. No regrets. So much easier, faster and more consistant than 2 bar magnets, and enough pull for the lacquers as well as gels.

Strong pull! Makes magnetic nail polish look super dimensional and velvety. I also found the design makes it less likely that I will "bump" a wet nail while jittering about.It's a splurge, but it's made me enjoy using magnetics again!
