Super pissed off and disappointed in the amount of work I put to replace this and it sounds like my engine is garbage because of the scratchy noise coming from the bearing don't waste your time don't waste your money this brand and this one in particular is not worth the time and money. If I'd have known I would have just went to BMW or Mini dealer and purchased an oem product compared to this worthless garbage now I have to do it all over again and I'm past the 30-day return. And spend another whole day taking everything apart and spending more money don't do it and don't waste your time don't waste your money don't bother because you will be very aggravated very frustrated and very upset with yourself if you buy this one

Bought a couple of months ago so I could replace it when I did the timing chain and guides. Installed it yesterday (12/25) and it had/has a rattle right out of the box.Update: I just replaced this... again... When I removed it the pulley appeared to have gotten so hot that it turned blue which means the bearing had gone out within 6 months. Spend the extra money ($20 or so) for a higher quality product.

Bearing is tight and rolls smooth, however, during cold starts this tensioner knocks just as the previous one did. The friction wheel system on the prince engine isn't exactly complicated, however this piece always seems to make noises.

Don't be fooled by other sellers on AMZ selling cheaper versions. I ordered the cheaper one and the side play was wicked, poorly made junk. THIS ONE however was perfect, well made and sturdy. 20, 000 klm later and still going strong. No rattle, silent big thumbs up :-)
