We have a large pond on our property, which the prior owners had let go into a state of muck. After battling with various methods (garden rakes, muck removal tablets, pond clarifying treatments) I purchased this after reading several Amazon reviews. This rake/net combo works perfectly for skimming the top surface for algae and leaves, but also works great at manually removing debris from the pond banks. Very sturdy and well made. There's a trick to scooping and emptying the net with mud/muck/heavier debris, but it's intuitive enough to figure out. After spending a good hour daily for 2 weeks our pond looks amazing. Now we just use this rake for maintenance and already seeing oxygenating plants returning to the pond, along with improved clarity.

I built a creek leading to a 1500 gallon pond just over 10 years ago. Oak leaves have always been a challenge to remove after the leaves begin falling since we have several trees. I have had a lightweight net that has held up well but this net is a game changer. The expansion length allows me to reach areas in my pond that I could only do so before by getting on my wading boots. Our creek and pond are gravel lined and the rake teeth allow me to removed those on the very bottom that my prior nets could not. Net holds a large amount of leaves and the pole fully extended is strong enough and the net large enough to remove many leaves before emptying. Very pleased and would highly recommend this pond net.

Love the pond net, easy to adjust the length of the handle, shrinks up from 96†for storage at half that length. The rake at the end work great to grab underwater oxygenating plants that are out of control and scapes the bottom for leaves. Net on the head itself is very deep. Not sure I needed it to bee that deep since I can’t lift up a whole scoop that big but it works. The only problem I found is that since it’s so substantial and about 4†of plastic at the end, it is sometimes to scrape it easily on curved edges, but the other qualities make up for that draw back. Glad I made the investment.

I ordered the Pond Shark Pro & I have to say, when it came I thought it would be too small and not work for what we needed. We have TONS of algae on our pond and this thing works GREAT! You can get a bunch in one drag and it comes right out of the net so easy. Once we clean it all up we will aerate so it’s not a continuous problem, but this net will come in handy for maintaining a clean pond.I wish I could post an after picture when we get it done, but this whole pond was covered, so you can see all we got done in a day. This is 50% done and this net got it all!Definitely highly recommend!

This is sold as a pool cleaner but I take it to the beach and rake for shells! It's heavy duty but not heavy with the perfect sized net. (And sometimes it will catch a fish) if you have a beach comer friend they NEED this tool!!

I had read all the relevant reviews before purchase and was somewhat skeptical about the sturdiness per the negative reviews but I have not encountered any problems when used as designed!I like the two options of rake and solid edge to scrape up reeds or leaves versus mud from bottom and that was the problem with an earlier product I had used where there was no protection on the rim and the net suffered and broke from the friction.

Net worked fine, but I stepped on it and whole head cracked. That would be expected from a flimsy $15 rake, but it's a $55 dollar item, and I was disappointed in the durability.

I’m replacing my net every year. I came across this one and it was pricey so I almost didn’t buy it. It’s worth the money. It’s very durable and I don’t see it. Breaking anytime soon. It was not made cheap like all the others I’ve purchased. Cleans the pond great.

The Aquascape Pond Shark Manual Skimmer is solid and well-built with good quality materials. It's long enough to reach into small to medium ponds, and it’s surprisingly lightweight, making it easy to handle. Despite its sturdy design, it’s not heavy, so you won’t tire out while scooping up leaves and debris. Overall, it’s a great tool for keeping your pond clean, especially considering its reasonable price.

I'm glad I went with the Pond Shark. This was great for doing the bottom gunk cleanup. I ended up jumping in as my pond is about 3.5' deep, and the water wasn't too cold. But it did a good job clearing the sludge debris from the bottom. I was worried about a vacuum—that I'd have problems getting a bunch of that sort of heavy build-up out, without clogging the vacuum. The rake and net combo is a good design for that, and it's sturdy. It was a good workout, but I got the pond cleaner than it had been in years. Also, a bonus use is that I found out it's not too bad to catch goldfish either. The netting is open enough that it moves fast enough to catch them. (My other skimmer net is worthless for catching them.) For catching, I flipped the net the other way, so the rake part wouldn't hurt the fish. It worked pretty good.
