I used mine to jack up a Land Rover. The texture is similar to a harder solid rubber, maybe like the smooth part inside some tires. I noticed it deformed slightly (maybe 1/10") when subject to the lifting force of the frame, but overnight it bounced back. I wouldn't cut slots in this to lift frame rails since it will reduce the height such that frame rails will hit the side of the saddle, at least in my jack. I wish they made it in a double height version for this express purpose. (Maybe the manufacturer should go into making jack pads!)Overall, It's much cheaper than any "professional" alternatives for lift pads, expecially the janky Prothane products that look like pads but really are poor fitting and slippery saddle covers.Anyway, the height is perfect to clear metal frame components versus the lip of the jack saddle. It works great as a jack pad in old Snap-On and Hein Werner jacks. It's especially great for the Hein Werner which has circular chamfers cut into the saddle. This is one of the best purchases I've made on Amazon. And, it doesn't smell like the inside of a Harbor Freight store.

This is a great hunk of rubber and plastic. Heavy, cylindrical. Just as you expect a hockey puck to be. Good price.Know what I used it for? Saw a photo online of someone who had used an adhesive GoPro quick-release mount to secure their camera to the puck. My hat's off to the person who thought of this. You can set the resulting mini-tripod in the sand without fear of getting particles in your fancy tripod. Works great on a table. I found a ton of other uses for this as a mount. It's heavy and stable. Easy to carry around, and cheap if you lose it.I haven't played hockey with this yet, but will report back if I do.

I made pinch weld jack point adapters out of these solid hard rubber pucks. I used my tablesaw and a carbide combination blade running on slow to cut the puck into a square then used the fence to cut a groove down the middle for the pinch weld to rest in. Looks like it came made that way. Rubber cuts pretty well and the blade left a smooth finish. Just be careful especially the first cut when squaring up. After that the flat side goes against the miter guage with auxzillary fence and it is pretty easy. After that use the rip fence to cut the groove a little deeper than the pinch weld on your car. Works better with a floor jack with a larger jacking pad.

I needed a hockey puck and this fit the bill, but after opening the package, I put it on a shelf and it's randomly turning white all along the side...kind of makes me nervous something is wrong chemically....Anyone else have this happen?

This is one solid piece of rubber. Never having had a puck before (and not requiring one for sports purposes) I wasn't sure what this would be like. Well - it's heavy and solid.I'm using it as a saddle seat for my Harbor Freight 3 ton jack. The problem with those jacks is that they don't have anything other than a flat saddle. Most cars have a pinch weld where the jacking point is which shouldn't have pressure put on it. The jacks should really come with a 'U' shape saddle that sits either side of the weld - but they don't. So this is where this piece of rubber comes in (did I mention that it's solid?!).I don't have a band saw so I used a jigsaw and a Dremel to cut out a 3/4 in deep by 3/8in wide 'slot in the middle. This thing is damn hard to cut through - it took me about half an hour using my tools. It's rough but does the job. You're better off getting hold of a band saw if you can.At least I can rest the car on this instead of on the flat saddle - and it's better than spending upwards of $15 for a purpose made slotted puck.

Arrived very quickly as expected with Amazon Prime and, well, it's a hard rubber hockey puck, exactly as described on the site. It is the first and likely the only hockey puck I'll ever buy. I bought it to use between my floor jack's lifting pad and a jack point adapter required for my MB CLA250. It is exactly the right height, diameter, and hardness to sit in the center of my jack's lifting pad, between the lifting pad and the bottom of the lift adapter, to maintain clearance between the metal outer diameter of the jack lifting pad and the car's side rocker panels when jacking up the car. For my application, this is both the perfect item and a necessity to jack up my car when using the jack point adapter.

Bought two, cut one in 3rds, glued the two outer edges on top of the 2nd puck to create a channel for my pinch seem on my VW GTI so that I could lift it without smashing my frame. Used Plastic Epoxy (the kind in two syringes) to glue together and left in my vice overnight. Works very well, I use it as a block under my VW and my Jeep ZJ when I don't want to scratch the paint or bend seams. Works well for lifting under my axles as well. Well worth the time and effort I put into making it. I hate bent pinch seems. No more hate.

I bought the hockey pucks not to play the game but to stretch out my tight boots. A lady at a boot shop in Nashville told me how to do it. Use a steamer or your teapot, direct the steam into your boot. Wait a bit for the steam to dissipate, it will be hot in the boot. When it cools a bit but the boot is still pliable, holding on to the puck insert it into the boot and just work it all around stretching out the tight areas. Immediately put the boot on, the warmth of the boot will help mold it to your foot. Once and done, no need to do it each time you want to wear your boots.

When I ordered one pack of pucks, I assumed I would be getting 12 pucks, not just one. How on earth can one puck cost over $11. You can buy pucks at any sports store for about $2 each. I'm definitely returning this over-priced, expensive puck.

Je pensais avoir au moins 6 puck pour le prix affiché. Je n'en ai reçu qu'une, c'est un horrible rapport prix/produit....
