Worked great with my stepson who is a hockey goalie. I read that you should do a slap shot to make sure it bursts but when he did that, it exploded right away. I wouldn't do a slap shot if your are hitting it at a board like we were.

Livid is an understatement. I had a reveal party, my son who plays hockey hit this puck over 8 times then my husband several times. They would not break open. We tried twisting or cracking them my hand. We eventually took a hammer to them. Ruined the moment and the VIDEO/photographer we had there for the reveal. I would like a refund at the very least and know that your default product ruined a special moment that was meant for our son to show the world as a big brother. We tried every surface level possible such as concrete, the street, sidewalk, on top of gravel, on hard frozen dirt, etc.

We loved these pucks for our gender reveal party. I was worried as from reviews many had issues breaking them. My son in law is a hockey player so no worries, he did a slap shot and it broke easily for him. Powder exploded all over as designed. It was awesome.

My husband played hockey for 14 years of his life, and he's never had a puck this light of weight. He missed the goal completely, and nor was it his fault. Guys, if you have this idea...DO A SPLAPSHOT, otherwise it will travel far beyond the trees & will require search and rescue.

Got both colors and had my best friend put out the correct one for my husband to hit. It exploded the first try with zero issues.
