The aluminum side of the blanket can be used to reflect heat, create a radiant barrier or signal for help. The other side is made of two layers of durable polypropylene which can be used as a blanket, tarp or shelter when camping, hunting, backpacking or boating. Keep one in the trunk of your car as part of your survival or winter kit.
All four corners have reinforced grommets that it can be staked to the ground or strung up to create an overhead shelter.
Dramatically Reduce Your Infrared Signature
This blanket is designed to reflect heat, and by doing so, it also temporarily blocks your infrared heat signature, providing camouflage in the IR spectrum. Adding brush or a ghillie blanket on top will further reduce your heat signature while breaking up your profile.

Good size so would work as a ground cloth for either a bag, a bivy, or even a tent! I sewed velcro patches along the edges and can form a "pouch" to slide into. Use it this way when I'm sitting on a hunting stand to block the wind and trap heat. Because it is not really "sealed" on the velcro edges, there is enough flow through to keep condensation next to nothing.

Got this product to use as a heat reflector above my tent. Worked well. Well made. Grommets on corners make for easy tying. Plus, can serve as a safety blanket as advertised. Only con, it’s not as large as I had assumed, but probably didn’t read directions. Would recommend and buy again.

Pitched on double para-chord from AMA at 29', winter storm warning in hand next four days.First slide in test was amazed I could feel my body heat reflecting on face, my first time on that. Will see how it holds in wind and below zero indexes. Happy so far, git chu a pair.. First week update: still pitched in yard, survived two blizzards, -15 wind chills, 6" snow, 35-70MPH gusts. Despite what grunt proof has said there are no collapses (only one re-stake to tighten para-chord), no grommet tears, no punctures. We are headed into another week of daily snows and nightly below zero wind chills. I expect NO damages.20feb update, post snow major wind, grommets still holding with snow load.22Feb update, I finally managed to damage the Arcturus; After installing extra grommets and resetting an off-center ridge-line I over-tightened the Prussic toggle and tore the grommet out. No fault of the tarp. Here is my recommendation, don't try to move or tighten a set tarp under twelve degrees, they are somewhat fragile. Photo taken with remaining snow at 45'F.

Nice heavy built tarp for hiking/bushcraft etc.this thing has 1000’s of uses. Includes a nice zipper storage bag too ( made from same material ).If in the market for a product like this , get it. Good quality, green on one side and reflective on other. Heavy built tarp

If I had nothing this is an optimal piece of gear.Great for any kind of outdooring. For the size and weight it does alot!Great vapor barrier wind proof and insulating.Id use it as a blanket under a regular tarp and it works fantastic. Typically i use it with my stove or a heat source in cold weather and in warm weather I use it to dry my wet clothes or keep off harsh sunlight.Id imagine it's great for car camping or anything else. Portable rolls up to the size of a tall can.Cons, Dirt sticks to the fuzzy surface but not as bad as you'd expect. Its not super durable probably lasts about 6 months of continuous use but it's fair for the price.

Absolutely indispensable piece of kit, especially for wet weather and especially for winter camping. I use this as my ground sheet, and with the reflective side under my sleeping pad and pulling the top over my sleeping bag, it easily adds about 5°C of comfort to my sleeping system. Folded up, it makes a great sit pad, and goes under my hammock if I have to set it up as a ground shelter. Strong grommets allow for rigging as an overhead shelter, as well.While not the most compact, it is relatively lightweight and slides easily into the back of my pack. Its usefulness for a variety of outdoor situations has earned it a permanent place in my camping pack.

Je dis "semble" car je ne l'ai pas encore testé sur le terrain (c'est pour très bientôt) mais, comparée à celle que j'avais avant, elle est beaucoup plus costaud et les oeillets sont plus grands ce qui est appréciable.

This survival blanket is quality and strong. Large size to cover 2 people easily. Packs down into a useful pouch that can double up as a warming pouch for ration pack food when warmed up. The bright orange serves as an emergency signal aid too. The grommets are a handy touch too. If safety is what you want in the winter or out in the wilds, then this is handy to keep close to you.

Vlotte levering en goed verpakt. De tarp ziet er goed uit. Ik ben benieuwd of de ringen het lang volhouden. De ringen zien er goedkoop uit. Het materiaal rondom de ringen ziet er goed uit en voelt stevig aan.
