For caulking consistency, the ratios are 2/3 gallon of Ardex 8 per 9 lb. of Ardex 9 or, for smaller batches, 2/3 part Ardex 8 to 1 part Ardex 9 by volume. The coverage is approximately 100 sq. ft. With many YouTube reviews that may or may not be sponsored, I conducted my own test. Using a cardboard box, the 8+9 was mixed by volume 1:1 ratio. Used one coat with a 3/16 trowel to smooth out at the corner. Another test was made using it as a bonding agent for the kerdi membrane (applied then squeezed out). In both test, after 8 hours, neither leaked. Eight hours because even a princess shower does not last that long. This will be used in my shower rebuild.

What gives?I was told (written) My ardent 8+9 would be here Friday and it shows up a whole day early.That's so worth the five golden stars.I couldn't get this shower/tub sealant in Azirona It came highly recommended by the tile couch on you tube.Great stuff!

Make sure you mix well to remove clumps. Must work quickly because it does start to set in about 30 min. I mix a little thicker for shower pan to get good coverage. Seals well.

This stuff smells incredibly strong just a fair warning for those who are sensitive to chemical smells, this may bother you.

“I used RDX 8 plus 9 waterproofing sealing compound on a project where I needed to cover about 140 square feet(floor 70f and cement board area 70f), but I was barely able to cover 80 to 85 square feet with just one coat. The package was way too small for the job, and I found it impossible to complete the project with just one package, despite the price. The product itself seems to work well, but for the amount you get, it’s not worth the cost. You’ll need way more than one package for larger areas, so I can’t fully recommend it.â€
