A nice to have tool when bending those brake tubes but then again you can also just use your hands to bend the copper-nickel alloy tubes if you cant afford this. There is no one crawling under your vehicle and rating your brake tube layout so the tube layout does not have to be 100% straight or bent but for those that are not in jam and aspire for perfection it's a good tool.

Overall, these work well. Copper tubing stays relatively round.An issue with these is when using the larger size of each wheel, the smaller opposite side will put a damaging dent in the tube. This is caused by incorrect clocking of the bend die. I solved this problem by drilling a new indexing hole in the back side. Very easy modification. After doing that, the issues are just like most benders - tough to use in tight areas.

I'm almost done swapping out the horrible Bendix ABS brake system in my 1991 Jeep Cherokee XJ and installing a vacuum power brake booster. After removing the old ABS junk and installing the new booster and master cylinder I needed to bend several steel brake lines. I searched around the internet and decided to go with the ARES 10030 pliers mostly because of the design and the positive reviews. The price is a little more than I wanted to pay, but they're very well constructed & engineered and will surely last many years. I was able to get into some tight areas with them and bend the 3/16" lines over to the proportioning valve. They're comfortable to hold and they grip the lines well. Steel lines can be difficult to bend in tight spaces, but thankfully the ARES pliers did the job. I have another brake job to do after this one, so I'm sure I'll be needing these specialty pliers again.

I haven't had the opportunity to use it yet. The bender dies appear very smooth and well fitted. I'm sure it will work as designed.
