Excellent trap to have on hand. I don't currently have a need for a trap, but tested this one and it seems to work as expected. I've always wanted to have one on hand as it's one of those things you hope you never meet but are glad you have one when you do. It's a good size so could be used for many critters. Happy with it.

Very solid trap, the doors are heavy and should hold most varmints. I really like the coating which will protect it . The trigger plate is a balance bean and very easy to set from one side or the other. I like the trap for sure. taking it down and folding it is simple and straight forward.

We have Pack Rats on our property and I usually just use rat traps. But recently a juvenile bobcat has moved in, so I ordered this live trap to avoid harming it.This trap is easy to assemble if you watch the video on the product page. I think that someone had ordered my trap, was unsuccessful assembling it with the so-so instructions, and returned it. My trap was scratched and bent in a few places, and all but two of the zip ties holding it together for shipping had been cut (and left in the box for some odd reason). It is either used or there were serious issues during manufacturing that weren’t caught. The trap has two doors and uses a pressure plate in the center so when the animal tries to eat the bait (peanut butter), the plate will cause two posts to separate and drop the doors. The mechanism isn’t the best design and triggers too easily. It’d be nice if the sensitivity were adjustable or the posts were better aligned.I’d rate this 4 stars if not for the condition of my trap. Minus 2 stars for that.

This is a nice sized trap for small-medium animals. It feels sturdy and I really like that it's green (to hide it better in a forested area). One negative is that the directions for setup are only photos, which are small and dark. I ended up opening up the listing and using the directions there--directions with larger photos and words--to help figure out what I was supposed to do. I also found that it's a bit trigger-happy; the trigger activated 3 times the first time I was setting it up, from tiny movements or wind. It's currently set up for an attempt to catch a small fox with mange that shows up in my yard. I plan to use it later for a feline trap-neuter-release program I work with. I'll update the review/add stars if this turns out to actually stay baited and work for us.Added: So far, this has been tripped by rain and birds landing on it. The problem is that the trigger is made up off 2 posts that you put together. One is flattened, the other is round. This would be better if both parts were flat, or if there was a bit of an angle to one piece so that they fit together without sliding quite so easily.

So, it's much better made than the other traps I have, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars, but there's a flaw that's almost a deal-breaker...Because the tripping mechanism is in the middle of the trap, you can't catch an animal the size of what it's big enough to trap. Raccoon, for example. I got this to catch a big raccoon that raids the birdfeed and trash. The cage is big enough to catch him, BUT, with the trap being in the middle, he won't have his whole body inside. Maybe half. So, the door is going to close on his back. It will be up to him whether he goes further in, or exits. My guess, is that with the other door closing loudly, he'll want to back out. We'll see.I think it will be great for catching smaller animals, like squirrels. But that makes it big for nothing. It could be half the size, for that.Anyway, going with 4 stars for now, for build quality. But the trap needs to be in the back, to make sure whatever's in it, is all the way inside before it trips. We'll see how it handles the raccoon. Also got some cats to relocate. Will update with more, as it unfolds.

Quality, easy to assemble, and humane. What more can you ask for? Unless you want it to break down nice and flat so you can store it easily.... which they thought of, and they did!
