despite what salesmen of ARP hardware say, to me there's only a few places i consider critical to using arp hardware, and that would be Main caps, rod journals and Oil pump and distributor gear shaft, and if running radical camshafts screw in studs. if any of these fail they take the whole engine with it potentiallyso this is cheap and worth it, 10 bucks on prime, probly next day, it's a no brainer

Used as a replacement on my 1957 Chevrolet 265 engine. Have only used ARP products on the entire rebuild because they're the best quality.

You've got to fasten down your oil pump. Use this stud. Not only will that pump stay put, but you'll have less chance of getting a #5 main bore that's out of round. Don't forget to make sure to set your pick-up to pan clearance and rescure the pick-up. You're welcome.
