I never myself had used oil pastels and I have decided I am not a fan. My students on the other hand, love them. They have a variety of beautiful colors and the product itself is wonderful. I prefer painting as my artistic outlet, but it’s always wonderful to try something new and if you enjoy working with oil pastels, this product works great. The pastels are soft and glide well, are wonderful if you want to soften the appearance of what you are creating.

I got these as a gift, and the person who received them said that they worked well and were super easy to glide onto the paper. They also stated that they were easy to break, but had great color payoff. If you're contemplating getting these oil pastels, get them! They're great for the price as well!

Great for the price point. I chose these because there were a lot of colors. Will use in conjunction with acrylics. Havent used in a long time - primarily am a painter - but am giving a try.

Very creamy, yet firm. They blend well with each other. I had another set that had a waxier formula and they resisted each other. Decent amount of pigment. They feel good. I'm enjoying reconnecting with a medium I haven't used since I was very small.

My daughter loved these pastels for her first time working with this new media. She layered them a little thick but was so excited with the result. I liked how this kit had a variety of colors and was very reasonably priced.

These were very disappointing. Too hard to get sufficient pastel onto the paper and too brittle with slight pressure.
