The product is as described with fit and function working great. My application was in a 17 gallon aftermarket fuel cell. Easy to setup and wire in.

Multimeter read resistance between both wires as 0 at bottom and 91 at top, so just about dead on. Adapted for use on a generic rectangular fuel cell bought off another certain online marketplace (die grind the center hole and drilled the mounting holes) although this bolt hole pattern will fit many American stock fuel tanks.Comes with mounting machine screws but no nuts, maybe they in their intended application wouldn't need them.Really solid construction, about as far from flimsy as a fuel sender could ever be. Yes its a touch bit more expensive than many other fuel senders but it's very apparent in its robust construction. Only thing to be worried about might be the plastic float but so far its held up for the short time I've used it. Could probably use it as an expensive hammer if you want. The flare at the bottom and top mean while the resistance is correct, the fuel sender/gauge will read it as full even when its at more like 90% full, or it will read empty even when you have a solid 20% left -- just because the float literally cannot go any lower or higher to change resistance. That's just how these types of senders are. Not a big deal if you have a big tank though.

As advertised! works good, but has 5 steps instead of being linear.

Nice quality. Do be aware of the fact that this is not a true linear sensor or sender. The resistance values changes in distinct, discrete steps. If you count the extreme positions as steps, there are 7. The steps are not the same size, which emulates a normal rheostat type.Take a look at the attached oscilloscope image.

Used in my dune buggy. Perfect fit and good gauge response. Hope the float holds up because it works great

It was an easy install and once hooked up worked great to show me my fresh water level. After two months it just stopped working. It no longer sends data to my gauge, just stays on empty. For the price I would have been happy to get a couple years but two months is just sad. So disappointed that I now have to find and buy another unit. Suggest looking for a better quality sender

All details of this add for the fuel sensor were accurate. It came protected with foam and looked brand new. Installation direction of the sensor and washer to the original tank is very important because the spacing between screw holes are not all the same. Check direction of the old sensor before removal. The sensor works great. The only negative thought was the washer is smaller than the metal flange making it hard to line things up when your arm is down in the hole blocking the light and your vision. It comes with new screws.
