I had bigger boards that I bought for really big paper. If you are not using a block you need to tape down really big paper because the warping is much worse and because you are likely to be working on it for a longer period of time. But as I learn more and develop my watercolor skills I find I want to tape smaller paper too and my huge boards did not fit on my art table. (I keep too much stuff on there). This smaller board is great for painting on the go as well, even if you don't tape the paper. The clip can hold a few sheets nd keep them from getting damaged. Great for sketching too.

i appreciate the large size so that I may tape down my art paper and the clasp seems sturdy. It's not too large that it would be cumbersome and it looks like it is well made and should last a long while.

I like this board it's good for artwork. The clip holds the paper and I like the large size but it's very lightweight.

Love the board bit one top corner arrived damaged. I kept it anyway because it d the didn't affect the working area.

This board was exactly what I was looking for to do watercolor projects. My luck would have it so: 2 days after I was able to return it; I was wiping the board and part of the finish came off. There goes the waterproof surface! The coating is very, very thin.
