I use this to mask off my watercolor paintings. It keeps my art inside the constraints of the mat sizes I choose. It removes easily from good quality paper. It does tear cheaper paper a bit.

Doesn't stick well enough for taping down watercolor paper. Will work for framing but that's a lot of tape for framing. I changed my rating from 3-4 stars because of customer service. After posting 1st review, company contacted me to make it right. They do have a artist tape that is made for heavier weight paper that they are sending. Impressed with service. UPDATE: Received replacement in mail..that is PERFECT FOR WATERCOLOR PAINTING. It is medium tack made for "heavy weight paper", like 140 lb paper. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

This low tack tape is great for watercolor paper. I’d give 5 stars for that. The reason for 4 stars is that it can tear the paper when used on card stock. If you are just using it for a low tack tape option, I think it’s a great purchase. I used it to tape Christmas candles in place on window sills this past Christmas. Everything came off clean with no residue on the sills or plastic candles. If I could, I’d rate it 4 1/2 stars.

As an artist, I go through a lot of tape. This works well and nice optional sizes available.It is a little difficult to remove sometimes.

This tape may well be better suited for use on canvases but definitely not watercolor paper. I finally gave up after the tape ripped the paper on several paintings and returned it for a refund. I gave it 2 stars for its ability to block paint from seeping and leaking.

After reaching the age of a million and one years, I finally discovered the cheap thrills of having a clean edge while using watercolors. It wows me every time I pull the tape off. This sticks well enough to do the job but also easily peels off. Nice paper works the best but if I was slightly careful, it would peel off from inexpensive watercolor sheets from Walmart.I was in need of a few cards I wanted to send in the mail, it was important enough to me to have them receive something real. I quickly bought the paper and ordered other supplies from Amazon. So much fun! Now I can't stop, somebody help me! 😘

Tried on various watercolor papers and with each kind the tape pulled paper up when removed. Cold press, hot press, 100% cotton, acid free - what a mess. Paper was dry, pulled slowly at an angle, some art was ruined. Edges all looked awful and frayed.
