Okay, buckle up, yall, because I just took my third wild ride on the Artistro Express! With 48 colors, a metal box, and an unreasonable amount of ambition, I was convinced I’d turn into a watercolor wizard overnight. Spoiler: I’m not. But wow, did I have a blast realizing that. I truly bought three sets...This little box looks like it could save your life in a jungle. I thought it was a first-aid kit, but no—it’s even better. It’s an art-aid kit. Sturdy, portable, and filled with vibrant colors, the Artistro set had me feeling like Bob Ross with a utility belt.These hues range from “My Dreams Are Alive†to “Maybe I Should’ve Practiced First.†There are bright, bold tones, gentle pastels, and a couple of colors I’m pretty sure were invented just to mess with me. But seriously, they’re super rich and beautiful. Every shade pops like it's on a mission to jazz up my fridge gallery.Warning: Do NOT take this set to a café unless you’re prepared to look extremely serious as an artist...you will "draw" attention... (see what I did there?)Set comes with its own little refillable brush pen, which is half helpful, half “why is there water on my pants again?†Turns out, it’s me. I'm the problem. Once I figured it out, though, it was smooth (waterlogged) sailing.Honestly, I think the metal case thing is indestructible. You could probably sit on it, drop it in a river, or use it to fend off an art thief. If it’s possible to love a box, I do. Plus, it looks professional, even if I don’t. After a weekend, I produced what could only be described as “modernist attempts.†My cat? Looks like a Picasso. My landscape? A fever dream. But it’s all in good fun, and the colors are beautiful even if my skills aren’t.Final Verdict: 10/10 would recommend to anyone who wants to feel like an art supply hoarder and an actual artist all at once. The Artistro set delivers on everything except maybe my expectations of becoming Monet on the first go. Just remember, it’s the journey, not the destination… and definitely not the mess you’ll leave behind.

This is my first time to ever paint with watercolors! I was amazed at how easy it was to use these paints. They come in a nice, small box. The paint dries quickly & gives good coverage. I attached a photo of my very first watercolor painting which I thought turned out well. I really love the metallic paints!

I have purchased 2 of these sets already. This paint kit is the reason I fell in love with water colors. Super light weight, which for me is important as I like to paint when I traveled. The quality of the paint is really good for the price.

This watercolor paint set seems like it will last a long time for an amateur painter! Watercolor isn't my primary medium, but these are bright and match the swatches pretty closely so you know what you're getting. The kit comes with a swatch test sheet so you can experience what it's like to paint on the watercolor paper provided and build your own swatch so you know exactly what all the colors will look like when dry. The only problem I have is that it's out of order from the swatches provided, so be careful to match the names and numbers when you're testing paints.I've taken photos of the swatches and my first row of matching the colors. I love that the colors are provided on the bottom of the box and I double-love that we have an option to test the paints like this. You can see that the paint is super vibrant and pigmented and that it's not hard to get a good gradient from them without fussing with water. The paper also doesn't let the paint run too much. I left a very wet line in the "Brilliant Red" color just to see if the color would bleed in the paper. (The parts of the swatches that go outside of the box are completely my fault, not the paint bleeding on the paper.)The inclusion of white is interesting; I usually get white by adding water to decrease a color or by leaving the negative space, so I don't know if I'll be using the white that much. However, I did include it in my top row of the swatch test and it does match the paper really well.The metallic paints shimmer beautifully and barely any shimmery residue comes off on my finger when brushed gently after drying. The colors and tones are very close to the color swatch provided, though I had to use VERY little water to get the fuller pigmentation.I love that they include a wide variety of tones and values. The variety and pigmentation of these paints make them well worth it. I think this would make an excellent gift for budding artists! I would recommend it to a friend.

Nice range of colors, bright, and smooth. More like a gauche. Nice portable tin with paint bush, black acrylic pen, and a bush that contains water for small out door sketches. The paper could use improvement. It curls to much. Needs to be a litttle thicker. Over all a great set for beginners.

I really love this water colour box. Comes with a water brush which works AWESOME. Regular small brush and 3 mixing trays. Test Strip to try all the colours and they are really really nice. So many to choose from. Plastic cover with names of shades. Metal container is sturdy and well made. I have been using a lot. I think it is a great value for any artist. I will be taking this to Europe in May this year.

Für Anfänger oder Kinder gut geeignet. Guter Preis, Qualität ausreichend zum testen. Farben sind nicht Hoch pigmentiert, man muss viel Wasser lösen, aber ist eben kein Markenprodukt. Als Profi greift man dann zu anderen Produkten. Aber man hat zum Testen eine tolle farbauswahl und es ist toll verpackt mit Papier, Pinsel etc. Besonders schimmernde Farben sind ein tolles goodie!

Utilisé en vacances et très pratique ! Bonne pigmentation, me suis servie quasiment que du pinceau avec réservoir inclus et très bonne expérience. Découverte de l'aquarelle réussie. (Je travaille avec d'autres matériaux généralement)

This set comes in a lovely tin. The paints are really good and highlly pigmented. It comes with a good brush, fine liner and water brush. Included is some really nice small sheets of paper. This is a great little buy
