Includes one pair of Ashford Small 72 point Hand Cards. Lightweight and easy to carry. Hand carders are used in pairs to prepare fiber or blend fibers or colours. Great for making rolags ready for spinning. The card cloth has wire teeth with a special protective coating and a flexible rubber backing for long life. To assemble attach handle to paddle with wood screw. Made from unfinished Silver Beech hardwood. Wood paddle measures 7.5in x 3.5in (195mm x 90mm). Carding teeth area measures 6.75in x 2.5in (172mm x 62mm). Tine height is 5/16 in (8mm). Made in New Zealand.

I looked for value of the quality as well as longevity. I am super happy with my Ashford hand carder! For me it was the best choice in starting my adventures with spinning! Iv used multiple fibers such as angora rabbit, corridale and Romney wools, the carders have done great on every fiber so far! Easy to assemble, literally just a screw through the handle and the back and your ready to go! Comfortable handle.

I didn’t realize I’d have to assemble the handle on, but that was easy. It comes as bare wood, so I put some wood butter on them. They work great, and are nice and solid. I expect them to last for many years.
