In the beginner gold panning kit, we've included our most popular gold pan and you get to choose your size: 10, 12, or 14 inch diameter; the gold pan features dual riffles (coarse and fine) that will assist you in separating gold from other unwanted materials like gravels, sands and rocks. The dual riffle gold pan is molded from one piece of high impact, ABS plastic; the gold pan is very lightweight, rust resistant, UV resistant, waterproof and it floats!

Good value for the money. Has everything you need to pan for gold. We bought this for our 9yr old who thinks there gold in every stream. The technique is tough at first but he’s getting better.

I have an old beater metal detector which I frequently used along the shoreline of a lake in Central Texas. The metal detector kept hitting on something, which I could never find. Once I saw a glint of color in a shovel full of black sand, so I guessed it may be gold. Using this kit, over the course of a month, I panned 18 grams of pure gold. The water level came up after spring rains and covered the spot, but once it goes down again, I plan to be right back there panning the area.

To be fair, they tell you right in the description what size it is... but being "new" to this. I had no idea there were different sizes, and just assumed based on the photos that don't have anything to guide for scale, that they are the size you see the "guys" use on TV. It is NOT that size. Just know that going into it. It was a little disappointing on Christmas morning to see the size.

I like the the look of the sluice riffs in the pan...looks close to a super sluice...nice angled edges..the pan its self is thin but not too thin...don't think you should dump half a yard of material in it...but if you classify your cons down to 1/4 should be fine...fits in a pack nicely...you can see through the loupe if you use it correctly...I can see all the indentations in the metal on the edge of a key...looked at the gem on a ring and see the imperfections...dents on the ring surface and the Stirling silver marking...it is cheap though...but for a beginner pretty cool...tweezers are tweezers the snuff bottle is a snuff bottle...the glass vial I'll use to catch bugs and look at them through the loupe with the kids...for a first pan for me I'm glad I gave this a go...thank you guys I also got the sluice matt and was impressed...now to give it all a go...8D

Not as described. Vendor will not take return. Pan is black not green and very low quality.
