I wasn’t sure what to expect durability wise with this, but it was much better then I thought. Sturdy, easy to use, easy to take apart. Perfect for the beach. It’s lightweight so you don’t have to worry about how heavy it is. Which is ironic because it’s very durable. Worth the price which wasn’t much. I’d highly suggest buying this for your next beach / ocean/ lake use.

I just got into metal detecting and this scoop works well. I like that it can be broken down for traveling. It's sturdy and lightweight. The only thing I wish was the scoop was a little bit bigger.

My husband bought a metal detector to metal detect on the beach on vacation. So, he needed a long handle sand scoop. We found this item and it was exactly what he needed. He found that it was easy to use, a good quality scoop, and lightweight. He enjoyed using it on the beach and didn't have any problems with it.

Recently got a metal detector and wanted to beach detect. Needed a scoop that was compact for travel and had good build quality. The handle that mounts to the scoop was a must for me and works great. The long handle threads together for a rigid fit versus the detent pin style that tend to wobble. I would say it’s almost as rigid as a one piece handle. I did a lot of digging on wet and dry sand with no complaints. Never seemed to loosen up during my search. Only plus I could addd would be to include a carry bag to keep all the pieces together for travel. I used a little shoe bag duffel and it works great.I would definitely suggest trying this out for the price. Half the cost of others I was looking at.

We used this scoop in the gravel and at Lake Superior for several days. It held up really well, showing no signs of wear or rusting. Overall a good tool for fun at the beach looking for interesting rocks because you can go deeper into the water looking for treasures and you don't need to dive in or get your upper body all wet when you find something you'd like to look at more closely. Handle doesn't seem that sturdy, but it held up surprisingly well.

I’m about the fourth dig the whole top separated from the body had to take zip ties and put it back together so I would have something to use on the beach while the handle was a very good construction. The main body does not hold up would not recommend and if you purchase it, take a back up so you will have something to use on the beach when this one lets you down
