Received adapter that is pictured.Quality adapter at a fair price compared to others on the market. Nice finish and the .75 thread pitch works perfect with my other adapters which are different brand. This adapter will add 7.5mm of back spacing to your optical path in your imaging train. The M48 female side is about 6.3mm deep. (wasn’t easy to measure, so might be a little off, but very close). The M42 male side was about 4mm of thread.Hope this is helpful.

I'm fairly new to astrophotography, and have had to make several purchases of adapter rings and adapters with problems coming up with the wrong thread or wrong size of the thread. Astronmania is awesome for providing details like M42X0.75 T with their descriptions which is precisely what I needed. Some other vendors do not provide the additional thread details which has been a problem in the past.

This was just what I needed to attach a Svbony field flattener to a M4/3 camera adapter. It’s not of the same quality as a part from Astro-Physics, but it’s certainly good enough for my purposes.

Adapts T-ring to focuser with minimum increase to back focus distance. Quality of the Astromania adapter is good and the lobed shape of the ring is easy to grip. Love the 1 day Prime delivery!

The first one that I ordered a year ago fit my Player1 Neptune camera threads perfectly. The one that I ordered this week doesn't fit the threads. Seems like Astromania has poor quality control. Will return this one and go with the more expensive ZWO adapter.

Used Alstar M42X0.75 Female to M42X0.75 Female (B074J1QS85), M48 to M42 T2 Adapter (B0C47P799G), and Astromania M48X0.75 (2" Filter) Female to M42X0.75 T / T2 Male (B01DIRJ72I) to connect a 2-inch item into a T2 pipeline.

The adapter works and is fairly sturdy. But the optical length is not 2 mm.From flange to flange, it's 8 mm. What they described as "effective optical length" of 2 mm must be from the end of the female thread to the flange of the male thread side, which is a useless measure for calculations of optical train.

Just received this 2 days ago. Fits like a charm but disaster when trying to remove it. Almost welds together with another fitting. There is no way you can grip it to uncsrew. If it is intended for use, to stay permanently in place, by all means go ahead. But if you plan to constantly remove it, I would look at the Williams Optics one with the knurled knob which I received from Taiwan the day after. A much better choice.
