I ordered one of these and the contact tip held with a spring broke out the plastic cap. Ordered a new cap from them, didn't work, so i used a whole new distributor from them, and the contact pin broke out of the cap AGAIN.

They replaced the broken part that was incorrectly packaged. The product was ok for the money. Works so we are happy

When I first opened it I was careful not to loose the tiny carbon “cap to rotor†center electrode. Which everyone had complained about not being properly attached. Sure enough it fell out of the box unattached. One end has a step cut in it. I put that end inside of the hole pushed it in as I turned it clockwise and fit into the spring just tight enough to turn the cap upside down and install the cap on to the distributor. If i ever have to remove the cap it will most likely fall out and disappear into the moving parts of the distributor. It would be so easy to manufacture it with a lip to prevent it from falling out in the first place! It was shipped with the rotor banging around loose inside the cap which is most likely why they’re knocked loose and the reason they’re getting lost during shipping!

I bought this item twice both times the cap did not have a rotor button installed in the cap. If you buy this item do not buy directly thru Southwest Performance. They will make you pay the shipping cost to return their defective part. Buy this part thru Amazon if you need it.

Junk the center of the cap fell o ut of cap and cost me 50 $ to be pulled in
