  • Quality Construction: Each radio key is crafted from durable steel and features a soft, comfortable grip

The ATLIN Radio Removal Tool Set is a must-have for removing single or double din radio units out of 1998+ Volkswagen and Audi vehicles. Unlike other radio removal tool sets, the ATLIN tool set features a soft plastic grip on each key so that pulling out a stuck radio does not cause finger pain. Because stereo units can sometimes be stuck or difficult to remove, these tools were made of thick metal to prevent bending or breaking while in the middle of a job. Works on 2015 Audi A3. Easily remove the head unit from the glovebox.

I bought these to replace the last set that damaged my radio due to thin flimsiness. I removed a friend’s Monsoon radio on the first try with these. These are awesome! I recently noticed that my Bentley manual calls for this type of tool to remove the rear headliner light assemblies that are over the back doors on my VW Passat. I thought all of these tools were the same. They aren’t. You can’t tell which ones are sturdy by looking at the pictures. I got lucky when I picked these. Notches point inward. Push until each one clicks. Pull on one side at a time. When radio comes out about 2 mm on one side pull out about 2 mm on the other side. When both side are disengaged and slightly out pull evenly straight out. Notches outboard or pushing tools in past the first click can make your radio permanently installed. This set actually comes with instructions but they don’t tell you how to screw it up. If you are reading this you found the wrong tool. The weak ones I had are bent and the notches lost their edges. I damaged my radio with the inferior tools. I will try again with these new tools.

I have zero complaints, the shipping was very fast and these tools work as advertised. They will be a welcome addition to my tool box!

These products are well made. The plastic grip provides a lot of relief on the fingers where a thin metal sheet would be digging in as with other inferior products.

It was cheap enough for me to research and see what my original radio headset looks like, but the aluminum part is bendy. Maybe I did not insert and pull it incorrectly. It worked but I decided against buying a new radio headset and installing a new one myself. This product might be useful for another application in the future.
