ATP Speedometer cables are designed to fit and function just like the original part to ensure durability and long life.

Direct install for a GT t5 mustang. These are longer than the 4cyl 2.3l engine cables.

It works with the attachment for the newer cars. I swapped from a 4 sp to a T5 and needed the extra piece on the transmission end.Other than that it works fine.

Needed the longer speedo cable after I converted my truck to a 4x4 drivetrain. Installed as-is. It ran the speedometer, but the needle would sometimes stick and jump around. After only a week, it also started making an uncomfortably loud clicking noise. Looked into it and apparently the cable may not come lubricated. Removed, cleaned, lubricated, and reinstalled. Clicking noise persists, and speedo needle now jumps around constantly, so it actually performs worse. For what it's worth, it's definitely the cable. I can run the speedo directly with a drill and it works perfectly. I connect the cable to the speedo out of the car and run it from the transfer case end with a drill and it will start clicking and jumping the needle around. Most people would be replacing their old cable specifically because it starts sticking and causing the speedo needle to jump. Without addressing that problem, this new cable is completely worthless, low quality garbage. Going to try an original Ford cable for $35 instead.

Nothing wrong with the cable itself, but fitment is incorrect. Claims it fits my car, well it does but too long. So it was binding and making the speedometer jump down the road. The old cable is 65-66 inches long where this one is 72 inches.

Make sure to avoid being melted to the exhaust, had to repurchase, my fault.

Wire drive was a little long causing the speedometer needle to jump, had to cut the wire back a little to make it work properly.
