I bought this drill press as a parts donor for an automatic espresso coffee tamper. For this purpose it was great! However, it was clear that the poor quality and innaccuracy would render it useless as a drill press. The main culprit is the cast base, which appears to be warped. There are also unfinished burrs on the upright pipe ends - watch out that you don't cut your fingers!

Just got this today. Could tell from the start…Column rod is not square to base when installed, tightened. Will use shims to square.

I used this Drill Press Adapter to drill hundreds of holes for a construction project over several days. As long as screws are tight, moving parts and shafts are greased, and you don't apply excessive pressure, this tool works well and will probably last quite awhile. Excellent value for the money.

The part that holds the drill broke as soon as I tightened it a bit. Cheap pot metal. Dont bother!

The assembly instructions are incomplete and almost impossible to see because of the poor printing quality. But I did manage to get it assembled. It’s made with incredibly poor quality parts and I can’t imagine it’ll hold up for more than a few uses. It’s inaccurate and not stable.

as said on other comments, the manual sucks ...and if you are looking for a super high precision drill press adapter, this is not the product for you.but when you figure out the best way to assemble it, it works very well.In my case, I decided to make a change in the way you fix the pipe in the base, just to make it more robust - i drilled 2 holes in the pipe in order that the screws go through it). Also, there is a PIN that is used as a guide when you are using your drill adapter - try to mount your adapter in order that this PIN will stay "UP" when you are not using it. In that case, it will guide your drill vertically when using it (hopefully).With these changes, it's working pretty well for me (considering that you paid less than 25 CAD).

The quality is what you would expect out of a 20 dollar plus product. I haven't used it yet but should hold up
