Very simple installation into a 2005 Nissan Frontier. I installed this gauge because it was recommended by other Frontier owners. I also plan on towing with my truck, so I want to keep tabs on the transmission temp.There are only a few wires that need to be connected to get this gauge working. Ground, +12V, illumination (+ and -), sender. The instructions that are included tell you exactly what you need to know. Please note that the sender that comes with this is rather large, so be wary of that.I connected the illumination to an existing illumination connection in my truck, so the dimmer would work on this gauge, but sadly, the LED inside of the gauge doesn't have the same dimming curve as my factory gauge cluster. Not a deal breaker tho.
