Fits like a glove, and looks awesome on the front of my 2009 dodge ram 1500. Couple hints when installing; 1)dry fit on the hood of the car, and triple check to make sure you have the alignment correct. 2) when aligned, take a sharpie and make a small mark on the bug deflectors plastic protective film and another corresponding on the hood/grill, so you know exactly where it fits when you expose the double sided adhesive and apply for good; 3) clean and clean again the hood along the lines where the adhesive will stick using the supplied alcohol pads. I actually went a bit beyond and grabbed the rubbing alcohol from my medicine cabinet and cleaned again. 4)pull approx 2" of the red protective film off the adhesive from each piece, and fit the bug deflector onto your hood (making sure the exposed adhesive backing strips cab be pulled after it is set in-place, also this is the time where your two sharpie marks come into play on the perfect alignment; 5)press the center of the deflector down on the hood and pull adhesive tape backing from the center and work towards fenders all while applying steady pressure to the deflector for proper adhesion. You may need to go back and forth between drivers side and passengers side when pressing down and pulling tape strips, just take your time and it will be perfect. All in all, I am very pleased with the product, and after a few road trips, and wet weather, do not think this thing will come off, unless its because I want it to!

I loved the fact that this fit flush with the front of the hood and didn't require any drilling. The down side is that you only get one chance to get it right because once you stick it to the hood, you can't adjust it later. Had my son-in-law who is as OCD as I am, and who works with vinal lettering for a living, help install it. The key is in prepping the metal. Make sure the area is super clean and remove any wax before installing.I've only had it on for a month so far and it looks awesome. Been through the car wash a couple times as well and so far so good.

I would have given this 5 stars but the picture is how the item arrived to our home. Luckily the product itself was fine. Otherwise we would have to return. I don’t normally have an issue with amazon boxes looking like this, so I was a bit disappointed. 4 stars because the product was intact and easy to install.

Be sure and use a solvent to get your vehicles finish prepped for install. Use masking tape to outline your placement, because once you stick it on the hood, you'll have serious issues moving it. Product is a nice add and does exactly what it's supposed to in protecting the leading edge of the hood.

I purchased this March 23, 2023. It lasted roughly 60 days before the tape started letting loose. I followed the directions even went over it several times with alcohol before putting down the adhesion promoter. The protector isn’t a perfect fitment on the 2011 ram. Meaning if you just lay it on the truck, the ends do not touch but once the tape is applied, it looks perfect. I have bought more 3M tape in the last 3 months then I have bought in my entire life. I tried to buy the expensive AVS 3M tape but it’s never in stock. I doubt it would have worked anyway because the thickness of the tape seems to be the problem. The lip on the protector keeps the tape from touching the truck so you have to push it down with force and hold it a few minutes. But because of the constant force caused by the lip, I’m thinking it just never gets the correct amount of time to cure. Not sure if this was just a defect in the hood, protector or what. But the tape that is offered isn’t thick enough. Not to mention heat resistance. But it looks great when it’s first installed. Now if they could just mold it to where it would both on and maybe have 3m tape just so it doesn’t rub it would be a winner. But for now if you purchase this for the 2011 Ram at least you will have problems and end up spending more than it’s worth to try and salvage the original cost.

I installed this on my '16 Ram 1500 Outdoorsman. It fitted & works well, looks good. Easy to install, no complaints. Good value.

Installation went well, take your time, i tried to peel off as little of the backing tape as possible, the less the better, makes it easier to adjust once started. About 1 to 1.5 inches, as long as it was enough to get a piece of painters tape on to it, and stuck to the upside of the shade

What a great product for the price! Start to finish took me an hour and a half or a little bit less.Took me 20 minutes each side for the rear end and 20 mins each side for the front end and double check everything.The packaging was short two lock washers and a one but, but I had extras, so not a big deal and nothing you can't get at Canadian tire or hardware store.

Didn't fit my Ram 1500 with Sport hood even though Amazon says it fits. Almost see through, not dark enough to cover over white colored paint. Junk.
