I was happy to find a card shuffler that did not require batteries. I did not read carefully, however. This unit can be USB operated, however, it does not have a battery that can be charged. The shuffler has to be plugged in when in use. It's a very minor inconvenience, but it saves a lot of money on batteries. The unit works very well and I would purchase it again.

AT FIRST THE UNIT WAS NOT SHUFFLING THE CARDS CORRECTLY. I experimented with the tray that catches the cards and found the springs that support the weight of the cards and tray were actually too weak causing the tray to descend to rapidly giving the cards too much space to fall, thus ending up on edge and even upside down. I get a perfect (but noisy) shuffle every time by lowering the tray by hand while activating the shuffle paddle. Simple cure would be to make the springs stronger.

Works well, but same inherent problem as like shufflers, the more decks you use the less effective it is in shuffling the cards. But the plug in feature is worth the couple of extra bucks to purchase.

I would give this product a zero for quality, durability. Purchased in November and broken in January after regular play use. The adapter AC cord receptical fell out of the back of the unit and into the unit base so it was unusable. Using it with batteries is possible but I purchased two others previously that were battery operated and they too stopped working (faulty battery connections) which is why I went with the AC adapter.

Works very well. We play Hand and Foot with another couple and it requires shuffling 5 decks and our old shuffler would go slow and get stuck. This one is awesome.

This comes in so handy when placing our card game that requires 6 decks of cards.Everyone wants a turn at shuffling! The USB feature certainly comes in handy

I bought this shuffler for our ladies hand and foot canasta games. Other ladies in our group have the same thing and use batteries for shuffling. I like the plug in option and have the shuffler where I can plug it in.I've noticed that it is easier to shuffle 3-4 decks at once over this advertisement of shuffling 6 decks. When trying to shuffle 6 decks we've been lifting the sides of the shoot to help assist the cards to go to the lower section. The card catcher is a bit wonky and can tip out once you get close to the end of the 6 decks as it falls below the "hooks" on either side of the card tray. All in all, this is better than shuffling by hand.
