The machine works great. Provides a good strong and steady smoke stream in a very short amount of time. The digital readout is very clear, accurate and can be switched to 4 different scales. It has an easily adjusted flow meter AND the feature that I liked best, is the built in pressure regulator that can be adjusted to precisely set the pressure anywhere from 0 to 15 PSI. Many of the other machines I looked at did not have this feature and were much higher priced that this unit. No need to purchase overpriced oil, this unit uses Johnson’s Baby Oil and it has a one year warranty. Highly recommend!

Did some work on my 03 XK8 and decided to run a diagnostic on my OBD2 system. Fuel trims were uncomfortably high positive suggesting engine was running lean. Corrected a number of small leaks located with brake fluid but total trims remained higher than expected. Decided to try a smoke machine and purchased this based on overall value and ability to test the evap. The smoke machine hook up was easy and the machine was smoking in seconds. A few turns of the adjustment knob and I was at 1/2 psi and found my upper plenum seals leaking within 1-2 minutes. Very easy to use and plenty of hose to place the smoke machine away from the vehicle. I was originally sceptical of the 5 minute cycles but found the leaks so quickly the cycles didn't matter at all. Should have bought this years ago.

Came with great attachments, quality is FAR better than I expected. Has everything that even the Harbor Fright machine at $549 comes with, except the pretty black case...if I REALLY want a case, I can buy one for ALOT less than the $450 difference. Even if I were still turning wrenches for a living, and would consider this VS a Snap-on or MAC machine...I could buy ten of these before I have even started to pay off the tool truck machine.Just fill it with mineral or baby oil, hook it up, adjust your flow rate, and find your leak. That simple. Find your fitting to seal onto your intake, exhaust, whatever you need to test...I recommend doing this in a garage, or on a less windy day...but your leaks will become obvious pretty quick...a simple laser pointer makes it easier, just start pointing it around, up under the dash if you are working on the AC system, the laser will get very visible in the smoke.

Soon as the smoke circulated the air intake system I instantly found the leak. So , so, so easy. For DIY great. I would recommend for DIY at home. $133.00 dollars. Dealer troubleshooting is $180.00 an hour labor, it paid for itself plus i made money. Why? Because the Dealership did not hook up a vacuum hose when they worked on my vehicle last week. Yes I could of took it back. They probably fix free, but they would keep my truck for a day or two. I saved my time. Update : used this on two different vehicles. Such a time saver. Smoke is the way to go for troubleshooting vacuum leaks.

I have had this smoker since December but never had a chance to use it until yesterday. The first time I used it, it worked fine until I finished the first job then the pump quit working. The manual says it has a one year warranty but the manufacturer is in China and says to contact the supplier but no information who the supplier is. Not real happy with this unit.I've changed my rating because I was able to contact the seller and was quickly given a full refund. I actually give the unit three stars due to the apparent lack of repair part availability. However, it seems to be well built and a fully capable machine, one of the lowest cost on the market and mostly good reviews so I did purchase another one, hoping it will hold up with time.I give the seller five stars and hope to do business with them in the future.

I drive a 20 year old truck with a v6 that had a bad idle, been chasing vacuum leaks one at a time for a long time. Finally I got this and smoked it and found a massive split right in the easiest spot to change, and I never noticed it because it was on the underside. This unit found it and I put a couple hoses on and smoothed the idle right out.Now that I've used this a few times it's pretty easy, zero to smoke test in 5 minutes. The hook is awesome, the inflatable bulb is awesome, the hoses are long, the alligator clips are decent, the oil port is decent, the oil view hole is awesome. The only small issue with it (that's not worth deducting even a single star over) is it has two speeds, and only the lower speed puts out smoke. If you wait for smoke on high speed you won't get any and might think it's broken. Click the button back to low and give it 10 seconds to start making smoke. Also you might consider getting a telescoping inspection mirror or some kind of endoscope. Making smoke come out the leak only takes 5 minutes, but actually getting your eyes on the hole can be tough.

Very reliable in checking all leaks in less than a minute heavy smoke came out of the port. flow and pressure are adjustable which expedite all leaks identified that save me time and money on lean code issue by not replacing unnecessary parts. Saves me hundreds of dollars and passed the smog
