Works great. Purchased to chase vacuum and exhaust leaks prior to getting the vehicle tuned. Puts out plenty of smoke for finding leaks. Was quickly able to track down both vacuum and exhaust leaks. Many of them I'd have spent hours trying to locate and been no where close to the source, especially on the exhaust side.

The machine arrive on time and it was a life-saver. The smoke starts in a matter of seconds, and the best part about is: it does not need an external pump. It also comes with a lot of fittings,and for a DIY'r this would be the best investment for peace of mind. I love itJc

The main issue is the ability of the air pump to pressurize larger cavities. It does good job in very small space, but trying to pressurize an air intake with turbo, it needs to run over 15 min before enough air in injected in, by that time, the compressor is too hot and shut down, so the smoke test cannot be performed.

With this small but well made tool, you can detect air leakage easily using a pressure test and then you can actually find the leak using smoke generation. This uses standard smoke type oil made of pure glycerine which you can buy at any drug store. None is included in the kit.The generator has fittings and connectors for various automotive tests and is quite a bit smaller than you might guess from the photos--its about the size of a large box of tissues.I wish kits like this (with so many parts) came with a carrying case to allow you to organize and protect the various components. It might be wise to use a small knapsack or backpack since nothing like that is provided.I like the quality--better than I expected at the price-- and the versatility to use this for more than just automotive testing.
