A couple of notice during installation.
1. Take off the painted door cover. The tab on the inside is to be pulled out not pushed in.
2. Don’t try to reach around the bottom and push on things.Use small flat blade screwdriver, just use a couple of screw drivers from the front and gently depress and work your way into the clip. You only need to displace the 3 o’clock and then pivot it out.
3. Screw in the hinge and top assembly before attaching the spring or it will cause the too to go sideways and not allow the screw to go in and strip out.

Usually I would say, “Always buy OEM†but with this part I highly recommend after market. The OEM part is plastic and I bought and replaced it at least twice in a year’s time. The last time though, I decided to try this since it’s made of metal.It was super easy to install you can watch a video to learn how. It fit perfectly (with a little persuasion). It’s lasted since I installed it and functions as it should. The price is right and knowing that I won’t have to buy another one (I don’t expect this one to snap in half like the OEM one did) is nice.10 out of 10 would recommend.

My fuel door would not remain close because spring and shaft were broken. This metal staff and my original spring allowed me to use my OEM equipment. Excellent!

What an awesome product! Fixed my F150 gas cap issue in 10 minutes and saved me a few hundred dollars from going to the damn ripoff dealer. Very easy to install after viewing a couple videos on YouTube. Highly recommend for F150.

Kit comes with everything needed to do the repair. Milled aluminum hinge piece is easy to install & eliminates the problems of the OEM parts. Only concern is that the screw threads may back out over time, threadlocker should help.

A simple fix to a major problem with the initial design. Don't buy NOS from your local FORD dealer (which probably hasn't been fixed, yet) when you can one here for much less $$. I would have preferred purchasing a Made-in-USA product but couldn't find one. I suspect that FORD got their version from China, also.

2014 f150 ecoboost fuel door fix. Better then OEM, will out last any other plastic parts that ford uses.
