I had one already had & liked how it stored my line setup. I didn't want to keep sharing a single keeper among my 4 rods. It made more sense to have a keeper with appropriate length lines dedicated to each rod. Now all I need to do is pull the rod out of its tube/bag, unwind the line from the attached keeper, attach the loop end to the Lillian string, and cast at fish. As I break down the rod at days end, I reverse the process for storage. These keepers also allow me to have a few different pre-fit lines/ lengths to choose from ready made in a bag, circumstances warranting.

I have 2 different Tenkara rods and it fits perfectly. I can store it in the tube with the rod. Great for organizing different size leaders. Can’t beat it for the price

I borrowed a Tankara rod from my cousin, and he had one of these line winders clamped to the rod. Unfortunately it flew off into the river on one of my casts. I purchased this pack to replace it for him. I don’t think this is very durable. They function to a point, but I think next time I will just remove it at the car. The fit is good enough and these are very easy to use. Lightweight and great for backpacking. I think the value is appropriate.
