These bags are nice in terms of their 4.5 mil thickness per side, but are difficult to seal effectively. We use an avid armor US32 vac sealer and sometimes the bags dont complete seal. I know it because of the thickness as I believe the sealer works up to 7 mil thickness so we are pushing the limits.My work around is to run the bags over to a stand alone bar sealer and hit it a few times with that to melt/seal the bags. You have to work fast in case air is seeping back into the bag but if you use oxygen absorbers it should be OK. Just a hassle.

Havent used these yet. They are for dry foods. They would be good for croutons, etc. We buy foods in big bags.
