Quality product with no smearing at all. I used this one to write something on oak wood, and the ink set quickly and stayed its dark black color. Even the pencil lines I had were able to be erased without the calligraphy len ink smudging at all. Two coats of polyurethane wwre applied on the wood project, and the ink stayed intact with no smearing. Therefore, Highly recommended for writing on wood.

I love this pen. The pen is made of India ink (permanent, waterproof, non-acidic and archival). It’s smudge proof, so you don’t need to worry about ruining your work by accidentally touching shortly after you finish. The nib size is perfect for addressing envelopes, creating cards, etc. It’s “Goldilocks size,†not too thick and not too thin.Even if you are a novice, this pen will help you achieve professional looking results if you have a sample letter chart to work with (just look one up on the internet, there’s tons). If you are an expert, the simple no fuss no mess qualities of this pen will help you complete your projects quickly and efficiently.I have one note of caution. Don’t forget to put the cap back on after you are finished with it! I have already lost one because if forgot. I ordered a new one within a few days. It’s that good.

These are great quality Calligraphy pens for the money. My daughter raised an interest in Calligraphy after I told her that I used to write and do art with similar pens. I took a class in the early 90's while I was in my early teens and found it amazing to make my letters look like that. So, since she is a beginner, I thought these would be perfect for her to start. She watched some Youtube videos on it and has really improved using their techniques that I had long forgotten. The pen is very inky black with a felt tip with the typical chisel needed for calligraphy. The ink doesn't last very long, so suggest buying more than one if you're serious. Its' not a top quality pen, but does the trick for a beginner.

I purchased this as an alternative to another brand that was sold out. I was pleasantly surprised by the feel and look of the markings. I'm a big fan and have bought a second pen.

I wasn't sure that a marker could mimic the ease and the style of a calligraphy pen, but this one does very well! I cannot create as fine a line as a calligraphy pen, but for writing between photos it's the best. I wouldn't fill out a Family Tree chart, the marker is too wide. Tip- pick the marker up and turn it so the tip is at a slight angle, then write as you always do- no need to turn the marker to get a stylized look!
