I was actually delighted when I got these to see there were two of each caliber. I guess if I had been paying attention I would have known that by the 1) Price and 2) Description. But it’s nice to have pleasant surprises from time to time even if (or especially if) it’s due to my poor attention span or reading comprehension. Anyway, these seem perfectly fine and of course it makes sense to have two of each so you can work the action. I gave away the calibers I don’t use and the recipients, much more knowledgeable about guns than me, seemed happy, So I guess they must be pretty good quality.

This is a great value for several different calibers of commonly used firearms. Depending on the design of your firearm, these can actually save your firing pin from being damaged. A damaged firing pin could be the difference between harvesting a meal and saving a life.

I bought these for two reasons:1) Checking the function of newly built weapons and of potential purchases.2) Use as a training aid.Everything has functioned perfectly. Safety during training is paramount and this product allows for the extra peace of mind for myself and for trainees. The ability to load, dry fire, and unload before incorporating live ammunition is a game changer. I highly recommend these to those with similar needs.I do have two wishes. A pack of 17+ of 9mm/other handgun calibers at a good price for loading full mags for training purposes. A brighter color to help ensure they are dummy rounds and also stand out against the outdoor environment.

This pack offers a wide selection of most common calibers. I did have an issue where some of the plastic primer ends were not seated properly defeating the purpose of what these are for. The snap caps being made of aluminum are lightweight and will cause feeding problems when using the slide release on some guns. I've seen the most wear on the rim where the extractor makes contact, which is expected, but seems excessive. I would recommend getting Realistic Snap Caps instead, which have more of a real weight to them, made of better materials, and are more durable.

The snap caps are above what I am used to, not cheap plastic, solid aluminum. Honestly these are the best snap caps I have bought in a long time.I should note that if you are getting this from Amazon Warehouse Deals, you might not get all 12, in my case I was missing a few. Still ok for the price, as it was only missing the small calibers 9mm, 1 of the .45.

The construction is nice and they dont wear easily on the friction surfaces or when picked up by a bolt. I like the steel primer they use it stays secure and doesnt damage your firing pin. I have probably 100 dry fires on the 12ga one.

Exactly what I needed, except, as other reviewers will post, mine also arrived in pieces, the blister packaging is not sufficient and I was short one of the .40S&W caps. no biggie as I have others in that size, but just know your kit may end up shorted!!!
