This box fits perfectly over my thermostat . Very easy to install . My son no longer attempts to play with the thermostat. He sees the lock box and turns the other way . Thank goodness !

Sadly this thermostat cover did not function as described as stated. When tried to set the new code, I couldn’t get it to take. The instructions indicate the factory code is “000â€. With this code set the lock wouldn’t open. My feeling is someone had used this product before me and set a code and then decided to return the product. It is very difficult to set the code as well. The instructions indicated you had to push down on the lock lever while setting the code. The lock lever never moved when set at the factory code “000â€. My fingers slipped off the knob several times. I felt like I needed three or four hands to set the code. That’s when I assumed the code had been set to differently by someone and then returned or it was a defective lockbox.I ended up returning this item and purchasing a different thermostat lockbox that uses a A/B switch to set the code. Much easier to set. Set the factory code at “000†and flip the tab from the “A†position to the “B†position and set your new code. Flip the tab back to the “A†position and you’re done. Very simple. It was further down on the Amazon listing for thermostat lockboxes.

It’s perfect. Perfect size, very very sturdy. I use it as a baby proof cover because my daughter is always pressing all the buttons . She’s very strong and brakes everything but this does not move not one bit. And if you don’t want to put a code on it, you could just keep the default code on zero to lock it just switch the numbers!
