I usually hesitate to buy items with lower than 4.5 ratings. I’m leaving this review because I bought it anyway and I’m very happy. It looks like it’s very high quality. The negative reviews lean more towards assembly. My husband said there were some glaring errors in the assembly manual, he had to do some items in a different order than stated. And he had to drill a few holes. But besides that he said it wasn’t too bad. I only heard him swear twice. I’m happy with the result so far. Will update if this changes.

There were a lot of negative reviews for this dresser so I was a bit apprehensive about it, but it seemed like the best option in our price point. Dresser arrived in good condition (we paid $10 extra to have it delivered inside since the box is 100 lbs and unwieldy) with all pieces intact. It was difficult to assemble--took my husband 4-5 hours--and you need to follow instructions very carefully. Now that it's together it looks nice and seems solid.Notes: If you want to safely attach the changing table topper to the dresser, you have to drill screws through the top of the dresser, which is annoying since one of the selling points is that it's a removable top. We opted to skip that step because we have a wipeable pad that works fine on a regular dresser top (keekaroo). If you plan to use the changing table top with a regular changing pad, be aware that the included hardware is for drilling into the top of the dresser. Also note that the drawers do not open fully. This is a safety precaution so that the drawers can't fall out on an older baby who pulls at drawers. I saw a lot of reviews complaining about this and saying the back of the dresser is unusable, but IMO the drawers are not so deep that you can't see to the back fairly easily. I don't think it impedes functionality and it does make the dresser safer.

I STRONGLY urge parents to look into other furniture brands. Backstory: We purchased the Babyletto Sprout dresser and convertible crib just last year in preparation for the birth of our first child. About a month ago I was in my son's room and noticed a small silver ball on the ground. My kiddo just turned 1, so he is mobile and very eager to explore the world by putting anything and everything in his mouth. I picked up the mysterious ball and tucked it away somewhere safe, but couldn't for the life of me figure out where it came from.Fast forward a few weeks - I went to open one of the drawers and another ball came flying out. I then realized it was the ball bearings that are meant to help the drawers glide. For the record, I take very good care of my belongings, and am in no way rough with how I open or close the drawers, but a day later when my curious son went over and opened a different drawer, ANOTHER ball came flying out. He is just barely 12 months old, and clearly not capable of exerting any type of force that you might expect one would need to break a drawer or dislodge a ball bearing, at least not from a drawer that is well constructed.I have now collected 6 little silver balls that have come out of the drawer, and am understandably concerned that I will miss one, and my son will pick it up and choke on it. So, I contacted Babyletto, assuming they would be as concerned about the safety issue as I am. To my surprise, after a very short email encounter with a customer service rep, they let me know that the item I purchased just last year is no longer under warranty, and they will not be doing anything to ensure that the dresser is safe for future use.Safety issues aside, with the dresser losing ball bearings left and right, the drawers are very wobblily and becoming impossible to use.I thought paying a bit more for baby furniture would ensure that the items were well-constructed, and most importantly, safe. That is unfortunately not the case here.Do yourself a favor. Buy something else. Do not support this company with such terrible customer service and clear disregard for the safety of the kiddos their furniture is meant for.

If you want something new this fine, but I find the drawers are too small, the knobs twist and turn after minimal use and the overall build quality is pretty poor, but normal to todays standards, I guess.

I want to start by saying I am an IKEA furniture EXPERT. I have put together at at least a dozen pieces of flat pack furniture in my day, and probably much more. This includes two dressers. That being said, even for me, this dresser was kind of a challenge to put together. This is definitely at LEAST a two person project. Not sure if it was just us, but the pilot holes that were drilled weren't deep enough, and we did have cracking issues. Customer service was WONDERFUL and got us all squared away, but because of this, it took us more than a week to get this dresser together. For the dresser itself, I love the color and the look. It matches our Green Cradle crib really well, even though it is a completely different brand, and we wanted something made with real wood that would be safer for baby. We are really happy with the product now that it is together, but putting it together was tough, even for us.

I had to leave a review, because the bad reviews on here don’t do it justice. The dresser is amazing quality, the color is stunning (it’s a medium brown but slightly glossy which gives it so much depth), and it smells like natural wood. Assembly was easy, and it has more storage room than expected. Height is also perfect for diapering. We love everything about it!
