The bagel slicer is fast and clean to use. It is used with little force, just push the tapered blade onto the bagel. Due to the precise design, the bagel slicer will produce the smallest slice when shredding. Unlike the bread knife, which needs to move forward and backward, the bagel slicer will be sliced cleanly and has access slots for convenient bagel removal
Procedure:
1. Grasp the top of the handle with one hand and the base with the other hand, and remove the handle of the bagel slicer from the base
2. Place the bagel on the base. Then place the handle blade face down on the base. After placing the blade portion of the handle straight on the base, push down until the blade of the handle contacts the base
3. Hold the base with one hand and the handle with the other hand to take out the cut bagel
Recommendations
Never slice frozen or stale bagels as they blunt the blade. Slice the bagel before freezing it, or defrost the frozen bagel before slicing it
During slicing, hot, wet or "sticky" bagels may be squashed or flattened; Let the bagel cool before slicing
Suitable for medium hardness, especially hard bagels, not soft bagels

It seems impractical but I honestly use it often! It gets the job done and it’s pretty easy to use. It’s also small so it doesn’t take up a lot of space in your kitchen.
