I inherited my grandfather's bow saw years ago and since I almost never have a need for one I've kept the blade on it. When doing yard work a few weeks ago I realized I could simply get a new blade and save myself some heartache for the few times I needed the saw. Unfortunately, the local hardware stores didn't carry anything long enough, only new saws. I found this listing easily enough, got a new blade, and then we had a huge windstorm here that brought down some smaller trees. The new blade made short work of them and it's always a pleasure to take care of yard maintenance without the use of gasoline. Love it!

Loved this saw blade. I bought the one for dry wood and then one for green. They are extremely sharp. Cut through an old, dried limb without any effort. A give away price for such good quality.

Attached the blade to my bowsaw and it cut through tree branches like a 'Hot knife through butter." You too will be pleased with this blade. Thanks guys. Great job! It's not amazing, it's MADE IN PORTUGAL. Better than china, better than mexico, better than brazil, NOT better than the USA, Germany, Sweeden, Japan or France. A french owned company that makes things out of an inferior company, just like we do here in the USA. THE RESULT: Mediocrity at best. This blade is at least heat treated, it's not amazing quality steel like the blades of 40 years ago but it's better than the chinese junk out there. Buy it and expect quite a few projects out of it, don't expect to sharpen it and hand it to your kids to use two decades from now. I guess those days are gone.

I have used this blade on several trees and large branches and have not noticed dulling of the blade in any way. I don't have to use much pressure while cutting. I would recommend purchasing this blade for replacement on your hand saw.

I was really sceptical about this being better than the normal bow saw blade. That has changed because this blade just rips through green wood. With gas prices so high we are using the bow saw as much as possible. This blade holds up to both seasoned and green wood. I honestly think its worth it to get this if your cutting a lot of green timber. I have ripped through trees as large as 8 inches with this blade.

These Bahco 23-24 Raker Tooth 24 inch Bowsaw Blades are Extremely Good quality.Manufactured to last. They are Very Sharp & remain very sharp for a Long time, even through heavy use........Haven't used either of these recently purchased blades yet as just ordered them to add to stock.They were so reasonably priced I just had to buy them. Have been using the current Bahco bladein our bowsaw for months now & it's still performing Exceptionally Well. Living on our narrowboat,while cruising our Wonderful canals & rivers we are always collecting wood for the winter months.These blades just cut through anything with such ease. Even the big lumps. And even when still Green !!!Thanks to ALL the crew at Amazon.co.uk !!!
