Very sturdy. Quality of this unit was very surprising. Easy to hook up. I use it to maintain the battery on my Toro mower. The magnetic feet are a great plus for me.

I put it on my lawn mower first, but i believe the battery is already dead or almost dead, so it did nothing for it. I have it now on my 4 Wheeler and it says its charging, lets hope so. It is really built good, looks great and seems to be working at best i can tell.

This thing is extremely well made. I had another version from a competitor, and it quit working within 3 months, so I started looking for a charger with MPTT. I ordered the BALDR and this thing has performed excellent for me so far. Highly recommended, and I am not usually one to leave reviews on Amazon.

This is a pretty nice solar panel works really good. I don’t really like the way the bracket to hold it up.

Placed inside on dash with a great angled view of the sky. Even though it was cloudy and heavy shade, the red light was on & charging into the cig lighter socket. AAAA+ THANKS for a wonderful product that does what is promised. Warranty registration only took 2 minutes. Great product. Packaged very well. Came with all required wiring, magnetic as well as suction cup mounting hardware & cig male plug with connector on the other end.

I had a 10w I used for 3 years and was still doing great but wanted to upgrade to these and I then put the smaller one on my side by side... So far in 2 months they show they are working but they are not maintaining or charging the car batteries at all. These were not cheap and I no longer have the packaging but it appears all three of mine are no good for some reason. Not keeping the Velar charged and not keeping the Yukon charged... My old Range Rover has no parasitic draws being old so I can not tell yet, this had the 10 watt previously and never had an issue.

I use a suction cups to affix this solar panel charger to the inside windshield of the vehicle in order to charge the battery on a seldom used vehicle. The solar panel can trickle charge the battery over an extended period of time to ensure that the vehicle is able to start with enough charge in the battery. Keep in mind that a dedicated battery charger will charge for battery at a faster pace as this solar panel will barely supply 1A on a very sunny day.

I've been using a similar charge controller solar panel for the last four months and was happy with its performance, but it was a bugger to set up inside the cab of my pickup. I needed to lay it down on the dash and find a way to at least slightly prop up one end so that the whole panel was angled towards the sun. This system is so much easier to set up.Using the included suction cups, I can "stick" this right on the inside of the windshield, which means it's angled. It's not perfect, but it provides a far better solution. Also, by getting it off the dash, any light that comes into the cab and is reflected back to the solar panel's underside helps to provide more charge.👀 This is made with the newer generation of solar panels that are capable of producing power from both sides, whereas older panels could only produce from one side.► Besides the silicone suction cups, there are two more options for setting up the panel. On the back is a fold-down stand so it can be set up on a table (or used to keep its angles away from the side of anything it's hung from) and four snap-in magnetic feet, which provide more than enough capacity to hold the panel in place on the side of a metal building. There is one thing that I miss. On the other setup, there was a charge controller box on the back side that had three LEDs, which provided information on battery and charger status. This has one small LED on the front that shows red for charging and green when the battery is in the fully charged state. It will also flash if connected with reverse polarity.» The problem with this is that the LED is on the front, which makes it difficult to see in broad daylight!► There is a red LED on the cigarette lighter that comes on when the sun hits the panel or at night when there is power coming back through the cigarette lighter well.🚩 If this is to be used with the cigarette lighter plug, the vehicle it's used on MUST keep the cigarette lighter well active. Many vehicles will terminate connectivity to the well once the ignition is off. In my CHev 2500 HD, there is constant power, so it works. On my KIA, the well goes dead as soon as the ignition is off. This is an important item to keep in mind when looking at purchasing the kit and using it with the cigarette lighter plug option. The kit includes two methods to connect. A cigarette lighter plug and clamps. Each option has SAE connectors, allowing the panel to be easily changed to work with either option. SAE is a a standard for DC cable connection, and there are many options available, such as extension cables to allow for greater separation between solar panel and battery. The kit is slightly more expensive than similar options, but this panel allows for charging power to be generated from both sides which increases its overall capability in a smaller-sized panel.Overall, it is one of the better options for keeping a battery topped up when there is no option to plug in an AC-powered charger.

This charger is easy to install and easy to use. It is extremely well built and the thick plastic frame around the outer edge does a great job of protecting the solar panels in case of accidental drops. The cables of the solar panel are a little on the smaller gauge side but they are a big enough gauge of wire to handle the current of the charging panel. The battery clamps are a little on the cheap feeling side of things but they still connected easily and securely to the battery terminals. I like how this charger provides a quick glance LED light in the front of the panel which shows the status of the charger. Green for fully charged. Red for charging and flashing red to warn you that you hooked up the cables in reverse polarity. I recently used this charger on a camping trip and it did a great job of keeping my truck’s battery charged so that I could use the 12 volt power plugs of the vehicle for other things and not have to worry about my battery charging. The charger even worked on the days when it was cloudy and while I never managed to get a multi-meter on the cables, the solar panels still showed the panel in charging mode. The suction cup mounting worked great but I preferred to have the panel set up on its integrated stand which holds the panel at a perfect angle to catch the sunlight for charging. For the price, this is a great option for anyone who does a little camping or trail riding to ensure that your vehicle’s battery stays fully charged. Great product

The BALDR solar battery maintainer is built like a tank and is ideal for maintaining a charge on a vehicle that will sit for long periods. I was very impressed by this solar battery maintainer, it is larger than I expected and has a rubber bumper installed all the way around the outside to provide some added protection. The solar panel itself is bifacial which is a very nice bonus and should boost efficiency. The unit comes with suction cups to attach to a solid surface, a standard 12v disconnect on the wiring makes it easy to swap the cigarette lighter adapter and the battery clamps. The unit itself has a charge controller built in so no need for any extras, just connect to the battery and aim the panel at the sun. I am currently using this to keep a battery on an RV topped up when not in use and it does a good job of that.Overall I am pleased with this panel. It would be nice if the cables were just a few feet longer. I’m sure this is fine for a car but a bit short for larger vehicles. Regardless the inclusion of a quick connect should make it easy to add another cable. I would certainly buy another if this panel broke, but given the solid build I dont think that will be a problem.

When I first saw this item, I was unsure of how it would or could work for me.After thinking about it for a couple of days & then I came up with some ideas of how it would/could work, for me, & so I ordered it, & I am THRILLED about this purchase. This has so very many possibilities for this rechargeable battery. I am going to start off by saying how impressed I am with this battery charger, & the very best thing why I love this item is that it is a solar battery. It has such a detailed info on display. It can be used for just about any type of travel, including in the water. It is easy to read. Anyone who does any type of trailer movement would love to have this item. Great quality.
