Maybe I got unlucky and the first one I pulled out had a rough spot near the tip. Overall tho these skewers are fine, fairly straight and seem smooth and high quality. They are sturdy and good to hold your larger items. It is quite thick so just be mindful what you're trying to skewer...it's not a one size fits all, if you have delicate or small items.

These skewers are very long and sturdy. They are thicker than most skewers that you can easily find at grocery stores. Their larger diameter makes them harder to break and snap.I use them for grilled skewers and their length makes them perfect for using to roast marshmallows or hotdogs over a campfire.
