I purchased this for my wife cuz she wanted to make Siomai (filipino dish). Upon opening it, we already noticed that the quality is good, the steamer looks presentable, like the ones you would see at chinese restaurants. When we used it, the steamer worked really well and the size was just perfect where she was able to steam more than a dozen without over crowding the steamer! And cleaning it is easy . The ring fit perfect on the pot also. No complain from us, this was worth the purchase!

Compared to others I have purchased in the past from Asian super markets, the quality is really good. I highly recommend this steamer for those that enjoy making buns.

This is a well-made product that is lightweight but sturdy, and does the job. I used it to steam dumplings in a 10" bamboo steamer this weekend, and they came out just right. Not only does this ring work with many of my pots, but it also does a great job at trapping condensation. I popped it in the dishwasher and it came out gleaming. It takes up practically no space. What a clever gadget!

Getting blue film off was hard forMe but once off I found this works very well to “seal†the basket to the top of the pot so it steams efficiently and Allows a large volume of water. The heat coming from sides of pot made the ring distort (bend) a lot but the basket weight flattened it back down. Overall a good item.

This is a great set. The steamer baskets are roomy and the bottom slats of bamboo are cut for the purpose, and consistent in shape like popsicle sticks and not random bamboo strips.I really like the metal pot cover/shield. Have used steamer baskets without such a shield and the steamer baskets got burned/scorched. This cover/shield will prevent that.

I have had this steamer for two years now and use it ALL the time. I set the stainless steel ring and the lid over top the water in a 12" carbon steel wok which heats up quickly. You can steam 1 1/2 pounds of potatoes, lots of broccoli, green beans, 8 ears of corn, a pound of asparagus, dumplings, tamales, on and on. It is so well crafted and durable I may never need another one. But if I ever did, I would repurchase this in a heartbeat! Don't bother comparison shopping. This is the one you want.

I picked these up after finding Mìlà Soup Dumplings at Costco and then realized I didn’t have a steamer. Rather than using one of those metal basket steamers, I figured I’d go for these.11/10 would do again. I followed the steamer directions and the soup dumplings directions and served them with some ponzu and sriracha mixed together. SOLID.Oh! I forgot that they came with reusable liners or whatever. I did not use them yet, but they are cloth and I’ll give them a shot sometime soon.No difference from the top steamer vs bottom in terms of flavor or being cooked through.I’ll be doing more things with these - veggies, anything frozen, etc.

I took great care of this steamer set but the inner ring on one of the levels detached and it's been getting worse ever since. It still works fine but I was disappointed that one of the layers (inner) was becoming problematic despite my care in use and cleaning.

The blue plastic film is really hard to peel off. But I like it because it is made of 304 stainless steel.

Works and looks as described. However it arrives with blue film on one side and is an absolute pain in the butt to remove this. See pic.
