PL2303 Chip for Two Way Radio
- Baofeng programming cable use PL2303 chip,Drive free,Support CHIRP,work with Windows System.
- This item is the cable that you can use to connect your Radio and PC, and then write the program setting and frequency of the walkie talkie by PC.
- No drivers needed for most radios, but if the cable is not recognized, pls install the driver of the chip, plug the cable to the Baofeng radio and PC, check the COM port in the computer settings.

Manufacture Software Programming Process
- 1.Open “Device Manager” and select the port (COM & LPT)
- 2.Download the programming software
- 1)Installation program,Clicking the button below,Clicking the “Continue”button
- 2)Find and open the "Program Software" on the Windows or computer desktop
- 3.Clicking the “Communication”button,then Confirm.
- 4.Click the "Programming-Read" button
- 5.The parameters of the Radio can be modified or adjusted as needed(Channel, Band, Frequency,tc)
- 6.Then click "write" to read the data.

I saw this cable selling elsewhere for about $30.00, and did some comparison shopping. I have a UV-5RH radio, and it works fine, even with Windows 11. Cable seems durable, is long enough (about 6 feet), and performs as it should. Very pleased with this. I also have a TDRadio Bluetooth dongle that works with a cellphone app, but I prefer to use a computer/laptop. I would recommend this cable solution for anybody who wants to program their radio with a computer instead of a phone. I don't like the idea of needing an internet connected computer to access the TDRadio method of programming. This cable does exactly what I want it to, and it doesn't need a privacy invading internet connection to do it.

A ham radio beginner here trying to program my Quansheng UV-K5(99). It was a breeze. You do have to really push in on the side of the radio until you hear a pop. Now it’s seated properly to the side of the radio.

I have an old cable that my grand pappy gave me. The old one probably worked fine back in the day with Windows 3.1. However, it did not work with Windows 11. Anyhow, I thought I would give this new fandangled cable a shot. I programmed a UV-5R and UV-21 and they both worked grand.

On a Windows 10 computer, I was able to plug in the cable, wait five minutes (for Windows to figure out how to use it). Open "Modified CPS 1.2.5k" select the "UV-G30 Pro /BF-UV20" for model (the UV20 Pro option would only read). Read from the radio, modify and write back to it. The "Modified CPS 1.2.5k" software lists other models (uv17, UV18, UV19, UV20, UV21 and UV22). It might work with those.For the Baofeng UV20 Pro, this cable would not work with CHRIP on Mac or PC.

This programming cable was recommended by others and works perfectly with a Baofeng GT-5R and many other HT models. Absolutely no difficulty installing under Win10, the driver was found automatically by Windows and works perfectly. For my radio, I'm using the Chirp NEXT program, not "legacy" Chirp to program the radio. I can recommend this cable to others without hesitation.

Works for bf-f8hp pro. Snug fit and originally didnt realize i didnt have it seated all the way when chirp threw a fit saying it wasnt connected. Good price, quick delivery and just make sure you have it seated fully when you go to use it

After fiddling with the cable and user error you have to push the connector into the radio which mine is a Baofeng AR-5RM and used the Baofeng program on their website for the 5RM-Plus and program works perfect.

As per title - This worked perfectly on the latest build of Windows 10 - no messing about with the drivers - simply plug it in and Windows detects it.I have successfully used it with CHIRP to program both the BF-888s and BF-88e.Great item and price!
