I haven't purchased clamps at least 10 years. My last purchase was cheap, imported F-style clamps that never worked quite right. I bought these (in the 12 inch size) because I desperately needed to glue down a top to a work table. They are far superior to the previous clamps and even superior to my old Jorgensen F-style clamps. The bar is heavier and thicker, so it will flex less. The handles are octagonally shaped so you can crank them tight. The attachment places have thick, rubbery coverings to minimize marring and to reduce the tendency of the clamp to shift places as you tighten them.I've only owned them five days, so I can't really address how well they'll hold up but I can say right now they function REALLY well. My only quibble is that the action of the "clutch bars" on the moving jaw is stiff on some of the eight I purchased.In short, I'm extremely happy with these.

I read reviews from experienced woodworkers and some thought these were fine while others were disappointed. I think both are accurate. I am a novice in all senses and these work fine for me. I think as a beginner where I am not going to be doing enormous projects and am still honing in on the craft, these are perfect! To me they are sturdy. To me they are quality metal clamps. Despite not being top of the line, they will definitely last a good long time. For a novice or home DIYer, these are still going to outlast many others out there. I would recommend and I will definitely be purchasing more sizes of clamps from this brand.

Positives : strong - made of quality materials - good priceNegative : the release should be on the opposite side and a little longer. Ideally, the tightening handle should be able to trigger the release mechanism.Overall - very pleased

Clamps very well made from the design and use standpoint. They glide open and shut. As a quartet they function well together. Also very asethetically designed. Nice to have a foursome that you can quickly grab and use.

I had bought a handful of plastic clamps at a discount retailer that will go un-named. They worked for few months till I was trying to make sure the grip was really tight on something... snap! The handles broke on two of them on the same day. Got these via Prime for delivery the next day, and they are awesome. Much more sturdy, great gripe and I can tell they are going to last a while. Wish I had bought these first. I would buy again.

Considerando el precio esta la calidad mucho por arriba de lo que esperaba. Las planeo usar como secundarias, pero para alguien comenzando creo que son buena opción siempre y cuando entiendan sus limitaciones, es poco probable que aguanten lo demandante de un taller de carpinteria profesional con produccion continua.

Product is flimsy and not up to the job. When clamping, the bar bends meaning that the clamping force is no longer straight and reduces the clamping pressure. Have chucked them in the trash.

Me llegaron uno o dos dÃas antes de lo estipulado, excelente en ese sentido. Ya que estaba en ese momento trabajando, cuando me llegaron pude probarlos y ver su calidad. Noté un detalle en el cabezal de la prensa, una burbuja en el metal ¿podrÃa romperse allÃ? Probablemente, pero por la calidad de estas prensas, no son para darles muy duro, tal vez y teniendo cuidado sin pasarse en el apriete darán un buen servicio. Quizá busque más adelante otra(s) marca(s), pero de momento me gustaron y están muy bien para los trabajos caseros que realizo, ya que el precio es un buen incentivo. Para este tipo de labores, sÃ, por supuesto, las recomiendo ampliamente.
